We are delighted to offer an original Australian delivered ‘Roundtail’ Spider. Being a RHD 1300 Junior makes it a very rare car, being one of only around 180 produced. The records we have with the car confirm it was produced in February and delivered in June 1969 to Perth. The Alfa Romeo 105/115 Series Spiders were produced in 4 Series and the Series 1 cars were the last designed by the great Pininfarina himself. It is arguably one of the most stunning Alfa Romeo designs to date and was a result of a number of Pininfarina design studies and concepts cars including the incredible Superflow concept car. As a result, the Series 1 cars remain the more desirable of the four series of cars being produced between 1966 and 1969 with the series 4 cars finishing production in 1994. This car has seen a substantial amount of work throughout the car and presents beautifully with a correct series 1300 engine in place. Originally in Bianco it is now painted in classic Alfa Rosso which suits the car perfectly. This is a delightful and collectable first series Roundtail which is pin sharp in every respect. The car is spot on and ready for its new owner to enjoy. A thick folder of history accompanies the car along with original owners books. The car is available for viewing in Melbourne.
