More than just a muscle car—an American design icon. The 1967 Chevrolet Corvette C2 Sting Ray Coupé offered here, featuring a four-speed manual transmission and side exhaust, is one of the great icons of American automotive history. For many Corvette enthusiasts, it is even the most beautiful and sought-after C2 of all. It combines the classic lines of the Sting Ray, introduced in 1963, with five years of technical refinement—and at the same time marks the end of the second Corvette generation before the C3 appeared in 1968. This stunning Corvette C2 Sting Ray Coupé remained in the U.S. until 1989, when it was imported by a Swiss collector and enthusiast. During nearly 30 years in his ownership, the car was fully restored and, complete with a FIVA Identity Card and MFK Veteran certification, is in perfectly maintained and immaculate condition. The original wheels are included. A C2 drives completely differently from European GTs of the same era. While those typically rely on high revs and precision, the Corvette thrills with enormous torque even at low RPMs, a throaty V8 sound, surprisingly good road holding, and straightforward, robust engineering. Especially when compared to Italian Gran Turismos of the 1960s, the Sting Ray embodies a philosophy all its own: less delicate elegance, but instead commanding V8 power, an incomparably powerful driving experience, striking design, and a charisma that makes it one of the most sought-after American classics to this day.
