The Jaguar E-Type is one of the most iconic cars of the 20th century. After its issue in 1961, the first significant up-grade of Jaguar’s sensational E-type occurred in 1964 with the launch of the 4.2-litre version. Along with the bigger engine came a more user-friendly gearbox. The car’s external appearance did not change apart from the “4.2” badging but under the skin, there were numerous details improvement. This particular exemplar was delivered new as a Left Hand Drive Open-Two-Seater with an Hardtop. It was bought by its current owner 23 years ago and modified to look like a very rare (only 12 originally produced) “Lightweight” Etype that were prepared for racing. The engine was prepared for “Fast Road”. Since then, the counter shows 02496 Km. This beautiful E-type is finished in Silver Grey with blue stripes and a black interior. The original seats were replaced by Cobra racing seats and the driving wheel by a Sparco model. It has a very sportive look. The body is in very good state, with no rust, excellent condition paintwork and chromes. The leather interior looks also very good. It currently holds a Belgian road registration as old-timer. Visible only on appointment in our showroom in Zaventem, located 5 min away from Brussels airport
