The Aston Martin Virage Volante from the 1990s is a rare and particularly luxurious grand tourer that belongs to Aston Martin’s transitional period – it was one of Aston Martin’s last true “handcrafted cars” before the complete takeover by Ford. The Aston Martin Virage Volante offered here is a very early example and probably the first left-hand drive of the series with chassis no. #2. Of the approximately 234 examples built, only about 90-100 were left-hand drive. It was delivered new to a Swiss collection in November 1992 in red with a gray Connolly leather interior and the rare 5-speed manual transmission by Roos Engineering in Frauenkappelen. The car was then sold from the aforementioned collection in July 1999 with just under 3,000 km on the odometer and was registered for road use for the first time. This beautiful Aston Martin Virage Volante has been regularly serviced by Aston Martin experts and is in completely original condition with just about 30,000 km. The on-board folder with all original documents such as the owner’s handbook, operating instructions, and the complete and neatly kept service booklet and exhaust maintenance document are available. 1992 Aston Martin Virage Volante Lutziger Classic Cars AG If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1972-ferrari-365-gtb4-daytona-2
Production of the 365 GTB/4, which became known under its unofficial designation ‘Daytona’, began in 1969. The suffix ‘GTB/4’ is made up of GTB for ‘Grand Tourismo Berlinetta’ and the number 4 for four overhead camshafts. The 365 GTB/4 Daytona became the symbol of a ‘man’s car’, as Auto, Motor und Sport retrospectively put it. According to available documents, the Ferrari presented here was delivered in Italy in 1972 and was part of an important collection there for many years. At the end of the 1990s, the car ended up in Switzerland before being acquired by a German Ferrari enthusiast in 2013. A few years ago, the car was extensively restored. In this context, the engine, gearbox, drivetrain, differential, steering and chassis were completely overhauled by Roelofs Engineering, one of the leading specialists for classic V12 Ferraris in Europe. The original on-board documents and a Ferrari Classiche are available. A good opportunity to acquire one of only 65 365 GTB/4 Daytona Coupés produced in the colour Giallo Fly with sensational driving characteristics and a traceable ownership history. 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Thiesen Hamburg GmbH If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1967 Maserati Mistral 1
As the 1960s progressed, Maserati made great strides in asserting itself as the go-to Italian manufacturer for attractive cars in the grand tourer mould. Of its contemporary model line-up, the marque’s 3500 GT and 5000 GT were stunning examples of coachbuilt coupé and convertible design. In 1963, the Mistral was introduced to replace the 3500 GT and was the company’s last model to feature its signature twin-spark, double-overhead cam straight-six engine derived from Maserati’s successful racing endeavours. While still in ownership of the Orsi family and prior to its takeover by Citroën, Maserati revealed the Ghibli, Mexico, and Sebring in quick succession to join the Mistral and bolster its GT offering. When production of the Mistral commenced, a stiffer and shorter chassis composed of square-section tubular elements allowed the new model to distinguish itself from the Sebring by its more sporting character. Further advances were made from a stylistic perspective, with Pietro Frua penning an elegant and contemporary body for the car. The Spyder version was introduced shortly after the coupé, with no fewer than three engine variants of Maserati’s famous race-proven straight-six. Offered here in 4.0-litre form, the largest and most desirable engine, the car is endowed with dazzling performance; the sprint from 0 to 60 mph can be achieved in just over six seconds, and has a top speed of over 150 mph. In the end, only 37 examples of the 4.0-litre variant of the Spyder were produced, making this car not only the ultimate version of the Mistral, but also exceptionally rare. This example, chassis AM109/SA 655, was specified from new with the desirable five-speed manual gearbox and finished in Nero over a Senape interior. Upon factory completion on 9 January 1967, the Maserati was destined for West Nyack, New York, USA. The car’s history in the States is only partially documented, with a title from the State of Florida retained in its history file confirming the Mistral’s whereabouts in 1974, yet by the end of the decade the Spyder had come into the ownership of Kyle W. Fleming, a Maserati specialist based in Virginia Beach. Fleming acquired the car as a partially dismantled project and sought to improve it before selling on, but at this point the Mistral caught the eye of a London-based buyer, who bought and imported the car. Incredibly, they would retain the Maserati for the next 41 years. Among the Maserati’s impressive history file—containing decades worth of invoices and paperwork to document its import into the United Kingdom and subsequent improvements—Fleming writes in a 7 November 1980 letter to its British buyer: ‘It is not good or even in running condition. The previous owner removed and dismantled the engine, but carried out no mechanical work … An inspection indicates that extensive work is required and this sale would be with this understood … The car has been for many years (in) the Florida Keys, which would account for salt and sun damage.’ The Maserati’s new British owner was clearly not deterred by the Mistral’s state of disorder, as by July 1981 the car was bound for the UK in a shipping container departing Norfolk, Virginia. On taking delivery of their newly acquired Maserati, its owner—a former Secretary of the Maserati Owners’ Club—began an incredible journey of restoration and ongoing improvements to the car. Invoices on file detail even small items of trim bought during the restoration process, with work on the body and chassis left to CRL Panels of Wymondham, Norfolk, and the marque specialist Bill McGrath to oversee an engine rebuild. Throughout the owner’s multi-decade tenure of the car, McGrath continued to maintain the Maserati even into recent years. While in the workshop, the Mistral was refinished in white with black leather trim, sporting the same configuration it is presented in today. In 2022, the Maserati was acquired by its consigning owner, ending its 41-year stay with its long-term owner and reviver. The condition of the car today is commensurate with its many decades of care and attention at the hands of its previous owner. Its polished chrome brightwork complements the polished Borrani wire wheels, while the excellent white paintwork makes for the perfect contrast against the all-black leather interior. A wood-rimmed steering wheel with a Maserati-badged boss sits proudly in the Spyder’s cabin, which is enriched with the fitment of a period Maserati Autovox stereo. Underneath the bonnet, a clean and well-kept engine bay is testament to the fastidious upkeep detailed in the Mistral’s service invoices. With a simply unrepeatable story of commitment and devotion from its multi-decade custodian, verified by the most fascinating and intricately detailed history file, the opportunity to acquire this matching-numbers Maserati represents an incredible chance to benefit from year after year of unbridled care and attention heaped upon a stunning car with both attractive design and rewarding driving traits. 1967 Maserati Mistral RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1963 Ferrari 250 GT/L Berlinetta Lusso by Fantuzzi
Sitting between Ferrari’s more overtly sporting models and its larger luxury cars, the 250 GT/L Berlinetta—often referred to as the “Lusso”, which is Italian for luxury—was the last road-going derivative from the marque’s celebrated, long-running 250 GT series. Unveiled as a prototype at the Paris Motor Show in 1962, the stunning steel-bodied coupé remained in production until late-1964. Most featured now-classic Pininfarina designs that were built by Scaglietti, before being finished at the Ferrari factory. While the Lusso earned some competition success, with a privateer car notably placing 13th overall in the 1964 running of the Targa Florio endurance road race, it was primarily conceived—and enjoyed best of all—as a fast and luxurious road car. The powertrain came in the form of the well-proven 2,953 cc Colombo V-12, with a single overhead camshaft per cylinder bank, mated to a four-speed, all-synchromesh gearbox. Tuned more for road use versus other Ferrari 250 models, the wet-sump unit—equipped with three twin-choke Weber carburettors—was still particularly potent. One of the most powerful production cars of the time, with 240 brake horsepower served at 7,500 rpm, it was enough to propel the Lusso to a top speed just shy of 150 mph. Yet it’s not the performance credentials alone that ensure the Lusso is still revered to this day. Widely regarded as one of the most elegant shapes ever to wear the Prancing Horse badge, this model was epitomised by its elegant, sweeping lines and curved rear screen that ultimately flowed into the fastback “Kamm” tail finish. At the front, early cars left Maranello sporting the low egg crate-style front grille—similar to that of its 250 GT SWB Berlinetta predecessor. This example, chassis 4383, was the 16th of the 350 Lussos constructed. According to the records of marque historian Marcel Massini, the car was completed by the factory on 20 March 1963. Originally painted in Grigio Argento over a Nero Connolly leather interior, it was supplied to Ferrari’s official dealer, Società Italiana Veicoli Agriculturali e Motori, in Bologna on 4 April. Five days later, the car was sold for the princely sum of 5,750,000 Italian lire to first owner, Luciano Pederzani. He and his brother Gianfranco had, only two years previously, co-founded the Tecno Racing Team. Originally building racing karts, during Luciano’s ownership of the Lusso, the outfit would establish itself as a successful manufacturer of Formula 3 cars, purportedly winning 32 out of 65 races during the 1967 season. The first of these victories was earned by future Ferrari Formula 1 race winner Clay Regazzoni. During this time, chassis 4383 was maintained by the Ferrari factory’s Assistenza Clienti in Modena. By February of 1964, the Ferrari was registered on the Italian targa “BO 179199”. Thereafter, the car would begin to evolve from its original specification to become the unique example that it is today. Firstly, in around 1965, a later 250 GT Lusso engine (5193 GT) was installed. Then, Pederzani went to the person styling his Tecno creations and asked him to partially rebody his road car. Former Ferrari race car designer Medardo Fantuzzi, based in Modena, modified the coachwork to more resemble that of the 330 LMB competition model. This included adopting a smaller, rounded grille, switching to two (rather than three) bumperettes, plus setting the headlights further back in the wings, and fairing them in with Plexiglass covers. This Lusso was exported to New York City, USA in 1968, and sold again five years later, remaining in the state. In 1976, its new Texas-based owner commissioned the addition of three 250 GTO-style intakes above the front grille, plus vents behind the rear wheel arches inspired by the same model, and repainted the car to red. The following year, new ownership led this example to be shipped to Honolulu after which it spent the following 28 years in Hawaii, changing hands four times. In 2005, the Lusso returned to mainland America, the new San Francisco-based keeper displaying it at Monterey Car Week that year, before returning for the following two editions. In 2011, chassis 4383 was sent to the UK for a full restoration at DK Engineering. Completed to a concours standard, 250 GTO moulds and drawings were precisely scaled to authentically finish the one-off bodywork. This car then returned to DK Engineering the year after for a mechanical rebuild, and to be finished in its present classic Ferrari red over tan interior. It was subsequently displayed at Walton Hall for the Ferrari Owners’ Club GB annual meeting in 2013, before being sold to radio and TV broadcaster Chris Evans, an avid collector of the marque. Through JD Classics, the Lusso was then bought by its consigning owner. Its most recent keeper has enjoyed the car at shows and events; in 2015 it was displayed on the Cartier Style et Luxe concours lawn at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and it later appeared as part of the “Seeing Red” tribute to Ferrari in the Earls Court Motor Show recreation at Goodwood Revival. The Ferrari has since been maintained by GTO Engineering, with many invoices available to view on file. Chassis 4383 boasts a compelling continuous history that not only includes a significant player in 1960s single seater racing as its original keeper, but more recent custodianship by Evans, one of the UK’s best-known media personalities. The car’s early bodywork adaptions by Fantuzzi make this 250 GT/L Berlinetta, a model which is already a particularly rare and special, a truly unique ownership proposition. 1963 Ferrari 250 GT/L Berlinetta Lusso by Fantuzzi RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1969-chevrolet-camaro
This incredibly charismatic Chevrolet Camaro was built in 1969 at GM’s Norwood factory in Ohio, and over the past 30 years it has enjoyed a long career in historic racing. After being imported to the UK by Ryland Rogers in North Wales during the early 1990s, it was sold to Hugo Dixon in May 1994 and prepared for motorsport use. It was subsequently raced in the Historic Sports Car Club’s Road Sports series before being sold to Nick Savage in April 2012. The Camaro’s new owner had it restored and race-prepared by muscle-car specialist Martin Savill of Aldershot, and invoices show that he spent almost £60,000 on it between 2012 and 2019. Originally imported to the UK in 396ci (6489cc) RS/SS specification, it now features a 350ci (5735cc) engine, as offered for the Camaro in period. The small-block V8 was rebuilt in 2014 and its current spec includes high-performance Dart II cylinder heads, TRW pistons, an Eagle forged-steel crankshaft and Eagle con-rods. The compression ratio is 9.8:1 and the engine breathes through a Holley 750cfm carburettor. Hedman 1.75in exhaust manifolds have also been fitted. At the rear is a 12-bolt Chevrolet rear axle that was built and set up by Jeff Hauser, and the engine drives through a Muncie ‘rock crusher’ straight-cut, close-ratio, four-speed gearbox. Global West quick-ratio steering has been installed, along with Corvette JL8-option brakes. In 2019, the Camaro was fully rewired and its subframe was rebuilt. A strengthened gearbox casing was also fitted. Inside, the car has been stripped for competition use and there are Sparco seats with Willans harnesses, plus a bolt-in roll cage. Whether it’s once again prepared for competition use or just enjoyed as a thunderous road car, this Chevrolet Camaro is offered for sale as an extremely quick and entertaining example of this ever-popular muscle car. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro The Classic Motor Hub If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1950 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Super Sport 2
Upon resuming automobile production after World War II, Alfa Romeo continued with the latest development in its pre-war lineup, the 6C 2500. Introduced in 1939, the model featured an increased engine displacement of nearly 2.5 liters, and the Super Sport iteration rode a shortened 2,700-milimeter wheelbase chassis while being equipped with a triple-carbureted intake. Closed bodywork for these desirable sport saloons was built by Touring with the coachbuilder’s signature lightweight Superleggera construction technique of welding an aluminum body to a small-diameter tube-frame, while Pinin Farina completed a number of open cars. In 1949 Touring acquired a Super Sport chassis and clothed it in a more ornate version of the coupe design that featured a tapered rear end, rounded edges along the rocker panels, flatter belt lines trailing from the wheel arches, secondary rear-quarter windows that opened up the luxurious cabin, and distinctive decorative hood lines that emanated from the foglamp areas and curved toward the A-pillars. This car was shown to great acclaim at the 1949 Concorso Internazionale d’Eleganza a Como (the predecessor of today’s Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza on Lake Como, Italy), winning the Gran Premio Referendum (the people’s choice award). Encouraged by the design’s obvious popularity, Alfa Romeo approved a short run of additional cars among the general Super Sport chassis sequencing, to be aptly named Villa d’Este. Widely believed to comprise no more than 36 total examples, including a small handful of open cars, the Villa d’Este was built until the end of the 6C model’s production run in early 1952. As a boutique hand-built luxury model, no two examples are exactly alike, lending each car a character of unique one-off individuality. The pinnacle of 6C 2500 production, the Villa d’Este is today generally regarded as the most desirable iteration of Alfa Romeo’s celebrated post-war model, combining capable mechanical performance, luxurious interior amenities, and elegant exterior design. COMMENDATORE FERRARIO’S VILLA D’ESTE Benefitting from significant early ownership provenance, two multi-decade periods of single-owner care, and more recent restoration work by the consignor, this beautifully presented Villa d’Este is surely one of the finest examples to be encountered. According to respected marque historian Angelo Tito Anselmi’s seminal book on the 6C 2500 model, and as supplemented by the research of a former owner, chassis number 915902 is the 15th Villa d’Este example built. After completing assembly in mid-February 1950, the Alfa Romeo was delivered eight days later to its first owner, Commendatore Vincenzo Francesco Ferrario, of Bellagio, Italy, a picturesque village on the shores of Lake Como. Commendatore Ferrario was a sports car enthusiast who had purchased three Alfa Romeo 8C examples during the 1930s, and his association with the company brought him into contact with the manager of the factory’s racing team, Enzo Ferrari. The two men developed a close relationship, and ex-Scuderia Ferrari team manager Romolo Tavoni reportedly told a researcher that Ferrario was one of only two preferred clients whom Ferrari addressed in the informal tu verb tense (the other being pasta magnate Pietro Barilla). Indeed, Ferrario’s closeness to the company was confirmed when he became a member of the managing board of SEFAC (Ferrari’s corporate umbrella of the 1960s). In January 1952 Ferrario put this Alfa Romeo through the competitive paces when he entered the car in the Monte Carlo Rally, a 3,374-kilometer trek that would take him from Palermo to Monte Carlo, through several challenging patches of inclement weather. Entered as race #194, and with a mysterious co-pilot (either V. Pellecchia or factory test driver Bruno Monini), the Villa d’Este finished 108th among 328 starting cars, of which only 163 crossed the finish line. Although the Alfa Romeo’s interim history is currently unknown, by the early 1970s the Villa d’Este was discovered in Switzerland and purchased by Ottavio “Popi” Franzi, who was a scion of the Franzi family manufacturing conglomerate, which had included a high-quality leather concern called Conceria Monzese. Franzi commissioned a full restoration by Carrozzeria Lopane of Cormano, which included retrimming the interior with Franzi boar hides, and adding a set of matching leather luggage. The Franzi family went on to keep the Villa d’Este for over two decades, establishing an impressive period of fastidious single-owner care. In 1994 the Alfa Romeo was sold to an Italian enthusiast who conducted a gradual sympathetic freshening that included a refinish of the coachwork in period-correct Amaranto paint, and the engine compartment in proper beige-green. Numerous efforts were taken to replicate small details, like the installation of correct headlamps, copponi rounded hubcaps, and a period Aster radio; and the fabrication of new leather luggage. The owner also presented the car at a host of high-level shows around the world, including the 1994 Paris Bagatelle (class win), 1996 Trieste Concours d’Elegance (first overall), 1999 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, 2000 Villa d’Este Concorso d'Eleganza (Special Award from the Como Automobile Club), and the 2001 European Concours d'Elegance Schwetzingen (class win and Most Elegant Italian Car award). In 2019, after 25 years of dedicated care, the Italian owner sold the Villa d’Este to the consignor, a very discerning Alfa Romeo collector based in Massachusetts. For the next three years, the current owner invested over $80,000 in additional restorative attention to the coachwork and mechanical elements, and a new interior was installed in 2022. Beautifully presented in Amaranto over tan, this handsome Villa d’Este retains its matching-numbers engine, and one can easily imagine Commendatore Ferrario flogging the able steed through the snowy mountain passes of the 1952 Monte Carlo Rally. Still benefitting from two long-term ownerships, as well as the recent attention of one of the world’s most knowledgeable Alfa Romeo collectors, this elegant Villa d’Este is an ideal candidate for presentation at exclusive concours d’elegance, or enjoyment on major touring events. As a rare example of one of Milan’s most celebrated models, 915902 will make a wonderful complement to any sporting collection. 1950 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Super Sport RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1968 De Tomaso Mangusta
The DeTomaso Mangusta is undoubtedly an exceptional car that holds a very special place in the world of classic sports cars. There are countless reasons why this car is considered special. The design of the De Tomaso Mangusta is one of its most outstanding characteristics. The exciting and angular body, with its powerful Ford V8 under the winged tailgates, was one of the most sought-after super sports cars of its time between 1967 and 1971. “Mangusta” is the Italian word for the mongoose – a small mammal capable of defeating poisonous cobras. The name “Mangusta” signaled that this car was to be a serious competitor for Corolla Shelby’s Cobras. The vehicle presented here was extensively restored in Germany by a marque expert and coated using a cathodic dip-paint process. The car is in an excellent condition. Only 401 vehicles were manufactured in total. Technically and in this rare and attractive color scheme, it looks like a typical Italian sports car, but it is a tamed racing car…! 1968 De Tomaso Mangusta Thiesen Hamburg GmbH If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright The DeTomaso Mangusta is undoubtedly an exceptional car that holds a very special place in the world of classic sports cars. - 1961-ferrari-250-gt-california-spider-by-scaglietti
CALIFORNIA EVOLUTION Ferrari achieved incredible heights during the 1950s and 1960s with its 250 GT platform, experiencing remarkable success in sports car competition with models such as the Tour de France, Testa Rossa, and GTO. Alongside these wondrous racing machines, Maranello built a magnificent line of roadgoing 250 GT models that came to define the peak of engineering and style. Among the competition-oriented GT models, the 250 GT California Spider is particularly celebrated. The initial long-wheelbase version found immediate racing success, taking a class win at the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1959 and finishing 5th overall at the 24 Hours of Le Mans a few months later. At the 1960 Geneva Salon, Maranello introduced an updated version built on the company’s new 2,400-millimetre short wheelbase, offering improved handling and styling. The revised California Spider featured a wider track, Koni telescopic shocks, four-wheel disc brakes, and the latest evolution of the “short-block” V-12 engine. Produced in a modest quantity of 56 examples, the SWB California Spider is justifiably regarded as one of the most beautiful and pedigreed Ferraris ever built, combining timeless design with race-winning performance. DISTINGUISHED GENTLEMAN—CHASSIS NUMBER 2955 GT Claiming a role as one of Maranello’s special period show cars, and boasting the presence of its matching-numbers components as authenticated by a Ferrari Classiche “Red Book”, not to mention a recent refurbishment by a world-renowned Italian restoration shop, this scintillating short-wheelbase California Spider is an exquisite example. According to the research of marque expert Marcel Massini, chassis number 2955 GT is the 26th example built. Configured with covered headlamps, orange signal lamps in a low position on the front wings, and no bumper brackets, the Ferrari was finished in Bianco Saratoga paint over an interior of Nero vaumol leather by Connolly. Upon completing assembly in September 1961, the 250 GT was delivered to Auto Becker, the famed German importer based in Düsseldorf. Auto Becker then immediately presented the car on its stand at the 40th Annual IAA Frankfurt Motor Show, where the car established its identity as one of Ferrari’s important period show cars. A month later the California Spider was sold to its first owner, André Budi-Medawar, a Lebanese enthusiast who kept the car in Rome. Over the next two years the short-wheelbase enjoyed service at the Garage Vincenzo Malagò & Co in Rome, as well as technical inspections at the Ferrari factory. In 1965 the Ferrari was exported to Luigi Chinetti Motors in the United States, which in turn sold the car to Charles Hamill, Jr of Belleville, Illinois. For one reason or another Mr. Hamill was apparently not persuaded by the Spider’s dynamic character, for he soon returned 2955 GT to Chinetti Motors, and it was subsequently sold to Bernard Stayman of Dayton, Ohio. In May 1966 Mr Stayman presented the California at the FCA National Concours in Indianapolis, Indiana, where it was awarded the prize for Best Convertible. In 1969, after three years of ownership, Mr. Stayman sold the Spider via a referral from Hollywood Sport Cars to Ken Mars of Granada Hills, California. Mr. Mars was a longtime character actor whose most famous roles came with memorable turns in Peter Bogdonavich’s What’s Up Doc? (opposite Barbara Streisand) and Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein (as the scene-stealing prosthetic-armed gendarme). Mr Mars retained possession of the 250 GT for a remarkable period of over 30 years, during which he repainted the coachwork in Rosso. After three decades of devoted custody, in January 2000 Mr Mars sold the Ferrari to the brokers Rick Cole and Marty Yacoobian, and they in turn sold the car to auctioneer Craig Jackson. The 250 GT was then purchased from Jackson in March 2000 by a Frankfurt-based collector who is notable for being one of the founders of a world-famous wheel company. After importing the Spider to the UK, the owner commissioned a restoration by some of Italy’s top craftsmen, including the specialists at Carrozzeria Autosport, and the highly regarded Bacchelli & Villa. This work included a cosmetic renewal in blue paint over a tan leather interior. In 2018, Mr Busch submitted 2955 GT for certification by Ferrari Classiche, and it was later issued a “Red Book” that notes the presence of the matching-numbers engine, gearbox, rear axle, and coachwork. After 19 years of fastidious care by the German owner, the Ferrari was sold in July 2019 to the consigning owner, an international businessman who maintains a strong collection of important motorcars in Europe. In 2019 the current owner commissioned a second restoration, this time by Dino Cognolato’s highly respected shop in Vigonza, Italy. In addition to a complete mechanical overhaul, the Spider was treated to a refinish in the current elegant color combination of Blu Scuro paint over a rosso leather interior, with the addition of a silver hard top. With the hardtop installed, the Spider flaunts a gorgeous profile, attaining aesthetic perfection from every angle. Following the completion of the restoration in 2022 the Ferrari was exhibited at the 2022 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, a strong endorsement of the car’s overall importance and quality. Displaying 2,447 post-restoration kilometers at the time of cataloguing, and certified by Ferrari Classiche to be a matching-numbers example, chassis number 2955 GT is primed for additional high-level exhibition at major concours d’elegance and marque events, or it may be enjoyed for its splendid driving qualities, as originally envisioned by John von Neumann. Noteworthy for being a show car at the 1961 Frankfurt Motor Show, this short-wheelbase California Spider would make a crowning addition to even the most accomplished collections. 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spider by Scaglietti RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1987 Ferrari 328
Highlights: Excellent condition Clean CarFax Desirable color combination Custom interior Upgraded stereo system Technical Specifications: 3.2-liter DOHC V8 270 horsepower 5-speed manual transmission with gated shifter 92.5 inch-wheelbase The Ferrari 328 is still considered one of the most reliable classic Ferraris available. One reason is most of the service work can be performed without removing the engine from the car, a definite desirable factor when looking to keep maintenance costs down. The 328 is a direct descendant of the 308 and still shares many of the same designs in appearance. It was a perennial favorite automobile poster in the 1980s. Black Horse Garage is proud to represent this 1987 Ferrari 328 GTS. This 328 stands out from the rest of the 328 pack with its unique color combination. The black paint is in excellent condition and the interior is a stunning custom job of terracotta leather seats, center console and door panels. The dash is covered in black leather and the tan carpets were also replaced during the cosmetic makeover. It has been cared for well through the years and it has just over 53,000 miles on it. The 328 GTS is powered by a mid-mounted 3.2-liter V8 engine that produces 270 horsepower. It is driven by a 5-speed manual transmission with a dog-leg gated shifter. This 328 last had its major service in 2016, so it is due for one, but because the engine does not need to be removed on this model, maintenance costs will not be as high as other models. This Ferrari GTS had a significant stereo upgrade which is better to be heard than seen. The sound system is hidden in the car so as not to distract from the other Ferrari looks. Sound deadening material was also used underneath. 1987 Ferrari 328 JamesEdition B.V. If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer.
