Unveiled to fanfare at the 1966 Turin Motor Show, the Maserati Ghibli combined alluring fastback bodywork by noted designer Giorgetto Giugiaro with proven performance from the Italian automaker’s 4.7-liter V-8, creating one of the most appealing grand tourers of the decade. Named for swift desert winds on the North African coast, the Ghibli’s performance more than matched its billing: the 310-horsepower engine with four carburetors, quad camshafts, and dry-sump lubrication pushed the svelte coupe to speeds beyond 164 mph. Maserati produced a total of 1,170 Ghibli Coupes from 1967 through 1973. Ordered new by Brussels Maserati dealer François Staumont on behalf of Mr. Théo Vercoutere in late 1967, a letter from Staumont to Maserati dated 28 November 1967 notes that the car was destined for display at the Brussels Motor Show. Chassis 180 was delivered on 29 December, finished in Celeste Chiaro over Blu leather, and exhibited a few weeks later. This Ghibli is believed to have had a second Belgian owner before being acquired by Peter Jansens in 1985. He retained the car for two years and then sold it to Bruun van Leeuwen, via Kroymans. Under Jansens’ care, the car is said to have had rust repairs and a respray. Mr. Leeuwen owned this Ghibli until 1999; the work he and other owners carried out is noted in a document on file. The Maserati changed hands twice more before a subsequent owner out of Germany acquired it in November 2011. He would commission Roda Classica out of Portugal to restore the car in 2016, invoices for which are on file. The work included repairing the bodywork as necessary before respraying it in factory-correct Celeste Chiaro and rebuilding the engine, gearbox, and other components. The interior had previously been refinished in Senape leather and was cleaned but otherwise left intact with its appealing patina. In November 2023, the Maserati would briefly pass to another German owner before ending up with a dealer in the Netherlands, from whom the consignor acquired it in June 2024 and had it imported to the United States later that year. With its numbers-matching 4.7-liter V-8 engine, exterior refinished in the factory-correct body color, and known history with period motor show provenance, this Ghibli appeals on many levels and will provide much enjoyment whether showing or touring. 1968 Maserati Ghibli 4.7 by Ghia RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1965-maserati-mistral
Though the early history of this car is not currently known, this Maserati Mistral is known to have been titled and registered in Utah in 1981, signed off to the next owner in 1982, and subsequently delivered to a body and paint shop to be refinished in red. By the 1990s this Maserati had languished as unfinished project in long term storage at the auto repair establishment. Eventually the car was sold to Fantasy Junction who obtained parts to bring it to running order and offered it for sale. The current owner purchased this car in 1995 from Fantasy Junction. After his purchase, he began acquiring components and unique Mistral trim parts to begin restoration while concurrently engaging Epifani Restorations to refine the mechanicals. The owner, having restored other Italian cars with Epifani, was familiar with the process as work spanned 2000-2010 recording progress on the numerous invoices supplied by the Epifani team and included with this car. During this period, the owner held a clean California title while maintained annual license and registration with CA plate 3MNN921 spanning 1995-2013. Throughout this period the car was titled, licensed, and registered as AM109056, with the same number also referenced on the Epifani Restorations invoices. In 2014, the current owner recounts that he did not receive his annual CA registration card and thus inquired with the DMV regarding the delay. The CA DMV notified the current owner that his car had been sold in 2012. Explaining that the car was still in his possession and much of a now costly restoration was nearing completion, the DMV assigned an inspector to research the situation. During the investigation, the inspector revealed that another car had been recorded with the DMV as VIN #AM109056. Upon examination of this car, the inspector was unable to locate a confirming VIN stamp on the car in order to conclusively indicate it was AM109056. There had been no reports of theft, no insurance claims with the number, and no irregularities associated with the VIN, so the investigation continued. Referencing the Maserati engine number, the engine number was subsequently correlated and confirmed to have been built at the factory as AM109054. The inspector authorized an original stamped VIN plate, verified the proper installation of the plate and submitted the car for title and registration as AM109054 in 2014. This title and registration have since been retained under the same ownership for the past eleven years. Today this Maserati, the VIN AM109054, DMV authorized VIN plate, the matching engine with factory number, and the CA title remain consistent with Maserati records now documented and verified by the CA DMV. During the period spanning 2000-2011 Epifani restorations performed extensive work on this car including engine work, machining, electrical wiring and switch repair work, brake booster, servo, clutch system work including new slave and master cylinders, new axle hubs and bearings with new brackets and fittings, new front and rear brake calipers, new brake lines, new emergency brake components, fuel system refurbishment including new fuel lines, fuel pump and regulator, electrical window motor rebuild, new wiring, new radiator hoses, new breather tubes, new coil wires, new distributor rotor, new spark plug wires and plugs, seat belts installed, dash removed for wiring repairs and gauge services, to name just a few of the many detailed items serviced, repaired, or replaced on this car. Epifani Restorations receipts total more than $50k not including the cost of specialized parts procured by the owner. Condition Overview Today, this Maserati presents as a handsome example ideal for further restoration or to enjoy as is. An excellent candidate for local shows and tours, the finishes and mechanical performance are appropriate for enthusiasts who enjoy driving and taking on various mechanical tasks as needed or gradually improving cosmetics to suit their tastes. Finished in vivid red, the paint is glossy and smooth though shows signs of age consistent with application in the 1990s. There are several small circular “fisheyes” in the paint (approx. 1/6” diameter) on the front surfaces which are visible when viewed closely. The panel fit and closures are generally very good, including the doors which open and close properly, though the rear hatch opens and latches, but the panel gaps are not symmetrical. Unlike many Mistrals, the front and rear bumpers are in excellent condition and fit properly to the front and rear of the car. The glass is in excellent condition as are the delicate chrome trim window surrounds, door handles, rocker trim, and amber side marker lights. The car sits on beautifully polished Borrani wire wheels with triple-ear knockoffs wearing a set of 205/70 VR15 Michelin tires. The dramatically sloped rear glass hatchback is a unique design feature to this model, accented by characteristically Frua side glass and sweeping body lines. The interior was sensitively restored some years ago and remains well balanced including a very nicely maintained dashboard, longitudinally pleated headliner, carpeted rear storage area, and matching floor carpeting. The leather seats are comfortable with just the right give to the seat bolstering indicating gentle use over the past 30 years of current ownership. The door panels, armrests, and center console are in very good to excellent condition. The dash and gauges are in excellent condition with well-defined dial faces, correct switches and various knobs, and a finely finished wood rim steering wheel. Raising the rear glass hatch, the rear storage compartment is finished with matching tan carpet, concealing an easily accessible Borrani (millimeter sized) wheel located under the floorboard. The engine and engine compartment are reflective of the care and detailing performed over the years with refinishing to original specifications and modest age to the various finishes. The fuel-injection unit has been removed and retained as spares with the car, while triple DCOE 151 Weber carburetors are in place with individually matched rectangular air filters. The engine displays generally correct rebuilt original components, proper hardware, factory type fasteners, and the correct satin black cam cover finish. When the car is parked, the engine drips oil on the ground which grows larger over a week or two. Although the car is operational, the shift lever requires some finesse when shifting, indicating the gearbox syncros will require attention in the future. The underside of the car is straight, and solid, though not restored. There is no evidence of structural compromise to the chassis or suspension mounting points. The exhaust system is correct and the various engine and transmission castings are in very good condition. Included with the car This Maserati comes with the original fuel-injection unit, air cleaner, other injection-based parts, a Blaupunkt radio, a spare Michelin tire and inner tube , a spare ignition tumbler and key, a Weber carburetor manual, and Maserati spare parts book. 1965 Maserati Mistral Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1980 Alpine A310, Serie 1
The Alpine A310 was the French answer to the German Porsche 911: a long-distance GT with 2+2 seats and a V6 rear engine of 2.7 l and 150 hp. Based on the model of its predecessor and multiple world rally champion A110, the A310 also had a central tube chassis and a plastic body. The Alpine A310 offered here was delivered in June 1980 by the Renault dealer Garage Keigel in Frenkendorf to the first owner in the Basel area. It is one of the last of the 1st series with the iconic 3-hole rims and the filigree bumpers, but already with a 5-speed gearbox and electrically adjustable exterior mirrors. The first owner drove the car until 1987, when it was bought by a qualified car and machine mechanic, who meticulously maintained it himself over the past 36 years with every possible care. As was not uncommon in the 1980s, he installed 2 Weber triple carburetors of type 42 DCNF, an electronic ignition, a fan manifold and a 4-pipe ANSA silencer. This significantly improved performance, elasticity and revving pleasure. All original parts are present. Thanks to its low weight of less than 1,000 kg, the Alpine is a lot of fun to drive – pure driving pleasure. The metallic Arctic Ice Blue color and the impeccable Bleu de France interior suit the car perfectly. The driver’s seat has been completely reupholstered professionally. This beautiful Alpine A310 stands on classic 15-inch Gotti rims with new tires and is in absolutely original and top-maintained collector’s condition with original 99,900 km, veteran-tested. The original delivery and warranty card, the owner’s manual and the exhaust maintenance document with no gaps are present. 1980 Alpine A310, Serie 1 Lutziger Classic Cars AG If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The original Monza Allow us to pose a question. Is the 750 Monza the prettiest Ferrari of them all? We imagine you’re going to jump to the inevitable conclusion. But please, take a moment to mull it over using our photographer Tom Shaxson’s stunning images to grease the mental wheels of thought. Sure, many of its six-, eight- and 12-cylinder counterparts have been showered with more reverence over the decades. But purely on aesthetics, from that soap-bar shape and those voluptuous volumes to the perfect proportions and purposeful poise, the 750 Monza is, in our opinion, absolutely beautiful. While Scaglietti’s craftsmen hand-perfected the construction of the 750 Monza and its emblem can be found on the car’s haunches, its fundamental design was that of Enzo Ferrari’s son Dino. Yup, with the 750 Monza, Dino instigated a distinct turning point in the design of Ferrari’s sports-racing cars, which, until then, had been largely shorter, higher-waisted, less curvaceous and with tall, wide noses. Winter, 1953/1954. Having sealed both the year’s Formula 1 and World Sportscar titles, Enzo Ferrari was jubilant but wary. Resting on his laurels was not an option, though in the face of innovative new cars from Lancia, Mercedes-Benz and Maserati, it was clear the technological arms race would be especially hard-fought. Formula 1 was the arena in which his cars would face the biggest challenge, so, Il Commendatore decided instead to throw the kitchen sink at his sports-racing effort to reassert his reputation as the purveyor of the world’s most exquisite motor cars. In addition to the ‘big-banger’ 12-cylinder 375 Plus, Ferrari revealed a new four-cylinder model, the 750 Monza, for the up-to-three-litre category. Ingegnere Aurelio Lampredi was charged with developing the car, employing a new enlarged three-litre version of the 2.5-litre inline four-cylinder engine that had powered Alberto Ascari to his back-to-back Formula 1 World Championship victories in 1952 and 1953. With its screwed-in cylinder liners, unitary cylinder block and head, and enormous twin Weber carburettors, the ‘750’ engine produced a healthy 250bhp and boasted an abundance of low-end torque. Throw in a forward-thinking lightweight tubular spaceframe, a gearbox mounted at the rear for better weight distribution and, on later cars, coil-spring suspension and disc brakes, and you had a sports-racing car that was agile and powerful but sturdy and straightforward. The perfect recipe for privateer customers of Ferrari’s located in far-flung destinations around the world. “With its screwed-in cylinder liners, unitary cylinder block and head, and enormous twin Weber carburettors, the ‘750’ engine produced a healthy 250bhp and boasted an abundance of low-end torque.” The new Ferrari 750 acquired its ‘Monza’ suffix after Mike Hawthorn and Umberto Maglioli won the car’s maiden race, the Gran Premio Supercortemaggiore held at… you guessed it: Monza. Though its competitive career was short, the 750 Monza scored notable victories including the RAC Tourist Trophy at Dundrod and proved instrumental in Ferrari’s 1954 World Sportscar Championship victory. Just 33 examples were built and they were driven by the era’s most successful drivers right around the world. On a more objective level, this is a truly wonderful car to drive. From behind that wide wooden-rimmed steering wheel, cocooned in that cockpit looking out across that long flowing bonnet, the 750 Monza is a car that begs to the driven harder and harder. And that engine… No, it’s not a 12-cylinder. But as a result it has a character all of its own. It’s gruff and noisy and begs to be revved higher and higher, at which point you’re rewarded with more and more power and acceleration. The curious case of the 1955 12 Hours of Sebring On its maiden outing, chassis number 0510 crossed the finish line first in the gruelling 12 Hours of Sebring, driven by Phil Hill and Carroll Shelby The Sebring International Raceway – 13 March 1955, 10pm. A sense of confused chaos has fallen over the paddock after the two leading cars in the fifth running of the 12-hour endurance classic were both declared the winner at the chequered flag. It was the Texan oil magnate Allen Guiberson’s striking new white and blue Ferrari 750 Monza, driven by the budding all-American duo of Phil Hill and Carroll Shelby, which crossed the finish line first after an epic drive. But it was the Briggs Cunningham-entered Jaguar D-type of Mike Hawthorn and Phil Walters which was subsequently awarded the victory by the race’s timing officials after a frantic check of their lap charts. Confusion sweeps the podium celebrations at Sebring after it’s announced that Hill and Shelby were in fact placed second overall and not the winners With support from Ferrari’s East Cost concessionaire (and former Le Mans winner) Luigi Chinetti, a disgruntled Guiberson files an appeal with the American Automobile Association (A.A.A.). The paddock certainly deems Hill and Shelby the moral winners of the race and he is absolutely convinced the Jaguar had overtaken his Ferrari under yellow-flag conditions. It will take the A.A.A. almost two weeks to unravel the Guiberson and Cunningham teams’ laps charts and confirm that the D-type did indeed win the race, by the narrowest of margins: just 25 seconds. Sadly, what was a tremendous battle and a genuine fight to the finish was marred by controversy. “An annoying situation for all concerned,” reported Autosport magazine, “but it is pleasant to record that the deciding A.A.A. meeting was entirely amicable, Mr. Guiberson accepting the verdict in true sporting manner.” The outright victory in the Index of Performance Trophy provided a morsel of vindication – regardless of the result, it was an exceptionally promising maiden outing for chassis number 0510 M. Winning ways This Ferrari contested two more races in 1955, both in the hands of the future Formula 1 World Champion Phil Hill. The first was the Del Monte Trophy, the headline event for the Pebble Beach Road Races, which were staged on the narrow roads in the pine and cypress forest that surrounds Pebble Beach Lodge. The races ran from 1950 to 1956 and attracted the era’s finest racing names (from America and beyond) and a broad range of predominantly European sports cars. Phil Hill vindicated this Ferrari’s Sebring defeat with a stunning win in the Del Monte Trophy, the flagship race of the 1955 Pebble Beach Road Races Hill had won the very first Del Monte Trophy driving a Jaguar XK120 and the 1953 edition with his own Ferrari 250 MM Vignale Spyder. True to form, Hill drove a masterful race with chassis number 0510 M, winning in 1955 with aplomb. The conditions were sodden, which only made his performance on the incredibly dangerous 2.1-mile course even more impressive. After Pebble Beach, Hill was instructed by Guiberson to take the Ferrari straight to Europe along with the rising American racing star Richie Ginther. The 750 Monza was shipped from New Orleans to Genoa in Italy, the idea being that Hill and Ginther would barnstorm the remainder of the European racing season. Unfortunately, the 1955 Le Mans disaster had put a halt on all motorsport activity and the only European track time the American pair were granted with chassis number 0510 M was at the Aerautodromo in Modena. After a health check at the Ferrari factory, the 750 Monza was returned to Texas. It was Phil Hill’s third – and most impressive – Del Monte Trophy victory Guiberson sold the Ferrari to the brothers Hall – older ‘Dick’ and younger ‘Jim’. Founder of the decorated Chaparral Cars equipe, Jim Hall went on to pioneer a raft of technological motorsport innovations, including ground-effect tunnels, adjustable aerodynamic devices, side-mounted radiators and composite monocoque chassis’. Suffice to say his influence is still very much felt in motorsport today. An inductee to the International Motorsport Hall of Fame, Hall boasts a competition résumé that lists successes in virtually every American racing discipline or series. The Halls had gone to Guiberson’s warehouse in Dallas to look at a Porsche Spyder. But when they discovered the nearby 750 Monza was also available, they soon forgot about the Porsche. Jim had witnessed Phil Hill’s wet-weather masterclass at the Pebble Beach Road Races and promptly persuaded his older brother to buy chassis number 0510 M (Jim was still a student, while Dick had assumed control of the family oil business following the tragic death of their parents in an aircraft accident). At the Pebble Beach Road Races in 1956, Carroll Shelby picked up right where Phil Hill left off, winning the race for the second time with chassis number 0510 M The Halls promptly employed the services of fellow Texan Carroll Shelby, who had by now firmly established himself as a driving force to be reckoned with on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. Incidentally, the Halls had also helped finance the opening of Carroll Shelby Sport Cars Inc. in Dallas, a major concessionaire of exotic European motor cars including Rolls-Royces. Shelby also knew the 750 Monza inside and out having partnered with Phil Hill at Sebring the previous year. That paid dividends at the first event of 1956 for this Ferrari: the Del Monte Trophy. Shelby carried on right where Phil Hill left off, winning the prestigious race in decisive fashion. Of the four subsequent events he contested with chassis number 0510 M in 1956, Shelby accrued three outright race victories and one second-placed position. It’s also worth noting that Jim Hall took his very first victory as a racing driver with this Ferrari. “In this instance, the success Jim Hall enjoyed as custodian of chassis number 0510 M pales in comparison to the fact he kept the car for almost six decades.” Prior to the 1957 season, this 750 Monza was returned once again to the Ferrari factory in Maranello to have its engine serviced, a full-width windscreen and passenger door added as per the new racing regulations and to be refinished in red. For 1957, driving duties were shared between Jim Hall, who’d joined Carroll Shelby Sport Cars Inc., and Jim Roberts, the dealership’s chief salesman. The following year, Jim Hall advertises chassis number 0510 M for sale. Crucially, he does not find a buyer… The Chaparral years In this instance, the success Jim Hall enjoyed as custodian of chassis number 0510 M pales in comparison to the fact he kept the car for almost six decades. After establishing Chaparral Cars in 1963, Hall stored this Ferrari at his equipe’s facility in Midland, Texas. In 1993, the decision was taken to lightly restore the 750 Monza ahead of a planned celebration of Carroll Shelby’s racing career at the Monterey Historic Automobile Races. The project was entrusted to Troy Rogers, the former chief mechanic at Chaparral Cars, and involved returning the car to its original white and blue livery. Following its light restoration and subsequent appearance at Laguna Seca, chassis number 0510 M was exercised occasionally on Hall’s test-track. Crucially, prior to both Phil Hill and Carroll Shelby passing away in 2008 and 2012, respectively, Hall received letters from both detailing their memories of this 750 Monza. Shelby’s is especially entertaining, particularly his recollection of the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1955. “I drove that race with my arm in a cast,” he wrote. “Hal Fenner would go to the races with me and change it to a fiberglass cast and then change it back to a plaster cast after the race so my doctors wouldn't know!” Hall finally parted with chassis number 0510 M in 2016 after 57 years of ownership. He was the only period 1950s Ferrari 750 Monza owner to still retain their car. A new dawn The third – and current – custodians of this Ferrari are Patrick Ottis and his wife Carolyn. The owner of the revered US-based Enzo-era Ferrari engine and mechanical restoration workshop, Patrick Ottis holds the honour of being the chief Ferrari judge at the world-famous Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Who better, then, to orchestrate the restoration of chassis number 0510 M with a view to using and sharing the car at the wealth of prestigious historic motoring events across the world for which such a car is highly eligible. Ottis assembled a crack team of trusted specialists and spent two years taking the car back to a bare chassis to rebuild it to the exacting specification of Phil Hill’s 1955 Pebble Beach Road Races entry. The two-year project put just as much emphasis on research as it did restoration itself – over 500 period photos were sourced to ensure maximum accuracy (they’re all in the enormous history file that accompanies the car). Given the remarkably original condition of chassis number 0510 M throughout, the restoration was undertaken with the utmost sympathy for that originality. As such, period techniques were employed, which, though not necessarily time or cost efficient, helped retain the distinct character of the car. You need only glance at the brush marks and slight wave to the finish of the original Scaglietti coachwork to see that. It's important to note that, with a view to preservation in historic competition, Ottis sourced a second additional period 750 Monza engine, numbered 0538 MD, complete with its rare original Weber carburettors. This engine, which ironically also competed in North America in the mid- to late-1950s, is included in the sale of this 750 Monza, chassis number 0510 M. Upon completion, chassis number 0510 M was raced by Patrick Ottis’ son Tazio at the 2019 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Laguna Seca. The very next day, this 750 Monza was entered in the world-famous Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Contesting the fiercely competitive ‘M-2’ class for Ferrari Competition Cars, the car was scrutinised by the discerning panel of judges. They were suitably impressed – it was awarded the coveted ‘Best in Class’ trophy. For the Ottis family, that could have been mission complete. But they have spent the following years capitalising on this special Ferrari’s extraordinary eligibility, finally fulfilling chassis number 0510 M’s thwarted 1955 plan to compete in Europe. The Goodwood Revival, Grand Prix de Monaco Historique and Le Mans Classic. It’s etched them all into its proverbial bedpost. How to summarise the appeal of a collector car with so many strings to its bow? The preserve of the most learned and discerning of Ferrari disciples, the 750 Monza is incredibly rare, drop-dead gorgeous, gruntier than its sultry and diminutive shape would lead you to believe and, perhaps most importantly, eligible. So eligible, in fact, that there are very few historic motoring events on the planet – static or dynamic – whose organisers would not welcome such a car with open arms. But even in the rarefied world of four-cylinder 1950s Ferraris such as the 750 Monza, there is still a pecking order and are still cars that distinguish themselves from their elusive counterparts. We’ve no doubt chassis number 0510 M is one of the very best examples extant. “This Ferrari 750 Monza is so eligible that there are very few historic motoring events on the planet – static or dynamic – whose organisers would not welcome such a car with open arms.” Of course, this particular 750 Monza’s successful US period competition history in the hands of three of America’s most decorated motorsport exports, Phil Hill, Carroll Shelby and Jim Hall, is a real treat. But its this Ferrari’s subsequent sheltered story in the custody of Jim Hall which really makes it stand out, both from provenance and conditions perspectives. Patrick Ottis’ fastidious yet mindful restoration served to honour the care Hall bestowed upon his Ferrari for over five decades. And, of course, preserve it for its exciting future chapter – chapters you could help to write. Your interest will no doubt be piqued when we tell you that this 750 Monza has already been accepted into the 2026 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Believe us when we say opportunities such as chassis number 0510 M are very few and far between. 1955 Ferrari 750 Monza Girardo & Co. Other Cars from Girardo & Co. History of Beck and the 904 Carrera GTS The history of Beck cars dates back to their extensive development of vintage era tribute cars focused on creating vehicles that were easily accessible to a wide range of enthusiasts unable to acquire one of the rare original examples. Known for their 550 and 356 models, Chuck Beck initiated the build process for the 904 with careful engineering considerations, releasing the 904 GTS on a custom order basis with production features including a TIG and spot welded tubular stainless-steel chassis, folded stainless sheet floor, and boxed ladder main frame rails. For the suspension, Beck developed Chevron B-16 inspired independent front and rear coil-over suspension (rear 4-link with parallel trailing arm), CNC billet aluminum uprights, and installed manual rack and pinion steering. The hand laid fiberglass body was bonded to the frame for added structural rigidity and an integral roll bar with optional door bars was integrated into the interior. The prototype GTS was tested at Road Atlanta running a 3.6-liter engine. Though these cars were offered with a range of engine options including Subaru and VW based flat 4 engines, each owner could specify engine and transmission preferences for their final build. Of particular note, a “wide body” variant was offered which featured an additional 3” of rear fender flare, allowing for the added tire width necessary to maintain adhesion on models outfitted with higher output engines. History of this Carrera GTS According to the current owner, this example is one of the first 904 models built and one of the rare wide body variants offered. The original commissioning build was performed by Beck. This example is believed to be one of the earliest 904 GTS models built and quite possibly the first wide body 904 constructed. Built with a dry sump 3.8-liter Porsche 993 twin-plug engine, fuel-injection, and 5-speed 915 Porsche transaxle, this wide body 904 was completed with track day specifications and used minimally by the first owner for a few track-day events and occasional street use. Current Condition Today this Beck 904 Carrera GTS presents as a professionally finished car with mechanical integrity and exterior cosmetics consistent with minimal use since it was completed. The silver paint has been smoothly applied over the hand laid fiberglass body panels which exhibit good fit and finish throughout the iconic 904 low-profile body lines. The additionally widened rear fender flares (exclusive to the wide body design) have been formed to accommodate the massive rear wheels yet still match the smaller front flares giving the car an impressive stance. The glass windshield, clear plastic sliding side panes, and plexiglass rear window are all in excellent condition. A set of matching staggered width Fuchs style three-piece wheels with Toyo Proxes R888 215/40ZR17 front and 315/35 40ZR17 rear race tires with aluminum Brembo red finished calipers perched over four-wheel disc brakes. Competition touches include clear plexiglass covered headlights, aluminum engine vent screen, dual chrome racing mirrors, and a set of Hella yellow lens fog lamps. The cockpit is very well laid out finished with black vinyl door trim, felt-lined rear bulkhead, and integrated rollbar. The dashboard features an instrument pod outfitted with three large-dial Porsche VDO black and green gauges including an 8k tachometer, 180 mph speedometer, and multi-gauge cluster. The dash continues across the passenger area with a series of labeled switches and contemporary VDO small dial gauges. A set of black vinyl seats are outfitted with Crow racing harnesses. A padded quick release steering wheel features a Porsche center crest and mounts cleverly in reverse configuration for added driver arm length. The interior delivers a purposeful no-frills, ready for action presentation, in keeping with the original commissioned build for a capable track day car. Raising the rear section of the car, the simplicity and effectiveness of the sophisticated Chevron B-16 inspired independent suspension, stainless-steel tubular frame, and twin-plug 993 3.8-liter engine create a very impressive visual statement. The engine is outfitted with a dry sump oil system using an aluminum oil tank and remote oil filter. The engine is mated to a 5-speed 915 Porsche transaxle and the 12-volt system uses an Optima battery and alternator. The front is accessible via a hinged hood which reveals an aluminum foam-filled fuel cell and fluid reservoirs. The underside reveals further details of the lightweight construction, independent coil-over A-arm suspension, and componentry consistent with the build performed by Chuck Beck. This Beck 904 Carrera GTS presents an excellent opportunity to acquire a professionally built and properly prepared example crafted by the premier builder of the iconic 904 in tribute to the original configuration. Although this car has been formerly prepared for track day use, we highly recommend a professional shop with racing car prep history inspect this car and properly prepare it before use in a competition setting. 1973 Porsche Beck 904 Carrera GTS replica Fantasy Junction If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. The Lancia Flaminia 2.8 3C Cabriolet is one of those rare automobiles that perfectly captures why Italian design stood at the pinnacle of the 1960s. Elegant, understated and mechanically sophisticated, it represents the very essence of Lancia’s golden era. Completed in March 1967, this example belongs to the highly coveted 826.134 series, the final and most evolved generation of Touring’s Flaminia Cabriolet. With only 180 2.8-litre triple-carburetor examples produced, these Superleggera-bodied cars have rightly become some of the most desirable Flaminia derivatives. Finished in Gun Grey over red leather, it presents a striking yet tasteful contrast befitting a gentleman’s open GT. The fully restored cabin, with its deep red seats, matching door cards and elegant wood-rimmed steering wheel, highlights the craftsmanship that defined Lancia at the time. Power comes from the smooth 2.8-litre V6, paired with a manual gearbox — delivering the refined and elastic performance for which Lancia is celebrated. Showing 84,773 km and carrying chassis 8261341099, this Cabriolet remains an authentic late-production example. The car has benefited from a complete restoration, carried out with respect for originality. Its presentation today is clean and coherent, and an extensive photo album documents the scope and quality of the work performed. Imported into Belgium in 1992, it has since remained in the hands of enthusiasts who understood its significance. As production of both the Flaminia and Carrozzeria Touring drew to a close, cars like this marked the final chapter of an era when craftsmanship, engineering and design were inseparable. Refined, beautifully made and increasingly rare, this Flaminia 2.8 3C Cabriolet is a car for those who value subtlety over spectacle — and who recognise the quiet brilliance of Lancia at its peak. 1967 Lancia Flaminia 2.8L 3C AD Sportscars If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1972 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS
First registration 06.1972 Only 2 previous owners In original condition with 22’000 mi Matching numbers and color Swiss road registration with veteran entry The Ferrari Dino 246 GTS offered here was delivered in April 1972 in the color Rosso Chiaro and with a black interior by Ferrari Modena to the official Ferrari dealer Maranello Concessionaires Ltd. in Egham, England. The first owner emigrated from England to Switzerland in the following years and brought the car with him as moving goods. About 40 years ago, we were able to buy this 246 GTS from the first owner and then pass it on to the second owner via an intermediary and good friend, where it was cherished and cared for until recently. It’s hard to believe, but as luck would have it, we actually bought the car again through an intermediary and good friend and are now in the fortunate position of being able to offer this beautiful Ferrari Dino 246 GTS again. The car is matching numbers and color and is, with original 22’000 miles and first paint, in unrestored, top maintained and absolutely original collector’s condition. The new car invoices from the factory and the Ferrari dealer in England as well as the on-board folder with all original documents such as service/warranty booklet with entry of the first owner from 1972, user and maintenance manual, spare parts catalog and the original registration book are available. The Dino 246 was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in spring 1969 as the successor to the Dino 206 GT, the first production car with a mid-engine produced by Ferrari. The designation “246” refers to the 2.4 liter displacement and the six cylinders of the engine. The name “Dino” comes from Enzo Ferrari’s son Alfredo “Alfredino”, who died young in 1956 and was known as “Dino”. The V6 engine he designed was used in Formula 1 and Formula 2 racing cars in the late 1950s and in production sports cars from the late 1960s onwards. 1972 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS Lutziger Classic Cars AG If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1962 Ghia L
Italian coachbuilder Ghia, revered for making lightweight aluminum bodies for Alfa Romeo, Fiat, and Lancia, and later working with Ford, Volkswagen and other foreign makes, briefly produced cars of its own. The first such venture, in collaboration with Dual-Motors Corporation of Detroit, evolved in the 1950s from Ghia’s advanced design work with Chrysler, specifically the Dodge Firearrow concepts. The resulting Dual-Ghia D-500 two-door convertible featured stunning Ghia styling on Chrysler underpinnings but was short-lived, with fewer than 120 units produced from 1956 through 1958. In 1961, Ghia created the L 6.4, a fully bespoke fastback coupe on a custom chassis and fewer off-the-shelf Chrysler components. Built exclusively to order, it was produced entirely by Ghia and marketed by Dual-Motors in Detroit. Power came from a 383-cubic-inch Mopar V-8 producing well over 300 horsepower. Without question, the hand-built L 6.4 was among the finest automobiles in the world and had an astonishing price to match, north of $13,000. Unfortunately, the cost of production and complications that came with building a car in Italy and selling it in the United States meant that the L 6.4 was destined to a brief yet glorious existence, with only 26 examples built and sold. It marked the end of an era as one of the last custom-bodied Italian/American GT hybrids. The remarkable Ghia L 6.4 offered here is finished today as it was from the factory, in the attractive combination of Rosso Rubino over English Saddle Leather. A car of this same color combination was shown at the 1962 Paris Motor Motor Show in October of that year, copies of photographs of which are included in the accompanying history file. This Ghia L 6.4 was sold new in late 1962 or early 1963 to its first owner, who was a member of the Kuwaiti royal family, according to a history report by marque expert Dyke W. Ridgley. Remarkably, the car remained with its original owner for some 60 years until it was acquired by the consignor in May 2023 and imported to the United States. Now offered with a history file that includes the Ridgely report, this stunning Ghia has clearly benefitted from six decades in single, original ownership and marks an extremely rare opportunity to acquire among the very last of the custom-bodied American/Italian GT hybrids, a masterful and fully bespoke fusion of fine Italian design with American engineering. 1962 Ghia L RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1960 Maserati 3500 GT
The Maserati 3500 GT was a milestone for the Italian marque in 1957. Having officially withdrawn from motorsport, the marque’s full attention was turned towards the production of Gran Turismo automobiles. To usher Maserati into this new era of GT cars, they leaned on the Milanese coachbuilding firm Carrozzeria Touring, who utilized their Superleggera patented aluminum panels wrapped over a thin, tubular steel frame that formed the achingly beautiful body lines of the all-new 3500 GT. Powering this stunning new offering from Maserati was a straight-6 engine borrowed from their 1956 350S endurance racer, with 3.5L of displacement and triple Weber carburetors the low end torque was remarkable. Over an 8 year production run, 2,226 3500 GT’s would leave the Maserati facility and go on to achieve great commercial success as one of Maserati's most celebrated postwar GT models, ultimately establishing Maserati as one of the world’s most exclusive high-performance automotive marques. The Cultivated Collector’s 1960 Maserati 3500 GT, chassis 708, is a true time capsule and one of unbroken provenance. Presenting today in highly original condition with gorgeous patina, 708 benefits greatly from long time single family ownership of 55 years, and tells a remarkable story. On November 14th, 1959, Stanley W Good Jr., a San Francisco based Maserati super-enthusiast, made his maiden voyage to the Maserati factory to order a new 3500 GT, thus signaling the birth of 708. Mr. Good ordered 708 with 3 options from the factory: seat belts, bumper overrides and Smiths instruments in MPH (Jaeger speedometer built under license by Smiths in the UK). Originally set on the color "Grigio Fumo," Mr. Good had a change of heart 2 days after leaving the factory and wrote a letter requesting the car to instead be finished in “Grigio Nembo”. Mr. Good would retain ownership of 708 for a short period of time before selling the car to Dr. Portalui of Arcata, CA. In April of 1962, Dr. Portalui’s wife sells the car to Mr. Mitchel L. Mitchell of San Francisco with 3,000 miles on the odometer. Unbeknownst to Mrs. Portalui, this sale would mark the beginning of a 55 year long single family stewardship for 708. Mr. Mitchell, an extremely prominent San Francisco businessman and socialite, immediately had 708 serviced in February of 1963. He continued to enthusiastically maintain highly detailed records on the car’s maintenance throughout ownership until 36,650 miles, where the car was then parked in the carriage house at his magnificent Renaissance-styled estate, 2901 Broadway, in May of 1978. 708 would remain dormant for close to 10 years until Mr. Mitchell’s passing in 1987. Under Mr. Mitchell’s ownership, the car was consistently and thoroughly serviced every ~2k miles. Upon Mr. Mitchell’s passing, 708 was given to Mr. Mitchell’s daughter Gladyne, a highly prominent San Francisco socialite of the first order, where 708 would remain in the carriage house until 1997. In 1997, Gladyne requested her nephew, Tony Mitchell the grandson of Mr. Mitchell L. Mitchell, assist with stewardship of 708 by storing the car in Napa Valley at his winery. Over the next 13 years, Tony Mitchell would periodically start and drive 708, with it making occasional appearances at the Concorso Italiano at the Quail Lodge in the early 2000’s when Mr. and Mrs. Francis G. Mandarano curated and managed the show. In September of 2010 Gladyne requested that Tony assist in preparing the car for sale, where 708 was then subsequently sold in October 2010 to noted Maserati collectors Mr. & Mrs. Francis G. Mandarano of Mercer Island, WA showing just 36,950 miles on the odometer. 708 would be immediately brought to RMB Motorcars of Stockton, CA for servicing under Mr. & Mrs. Mandarano’s watchful ownership. In July of 2012, Mr. and Mrs. Mandarano would take 708 on the 1,000 mile Northwest Classic Rally, where the car would go on to perform flawlessly and efficiently throughout the course of the event. The following year, in July of 2013, 708 was accepted and shown at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in the esteemed Preservation Class and also participated in the Pebble Beach Road Tour. Mr. and Mrs. Mandarano would lovingly enjoy 708 for a duration of 8 years until it was acquired by an esteemed collector based in New York in 2022. The most recent owner would take great care of 708 during his time of stewardship, ensuring consistent servicing and frequent drives, adding ~5k miles to the odometer where it now sits at 46,230 miles from new. Believed to be one of just 4 cars to leave the Maserati factory in Grigio Nimbo, 708 is still adorned in its original paint, leather, carpets, body, and matching numbers drivetrain. 708 is recently serviced and is being sold with complete documented history from new, the original spare tire, original factory tool kit and jack, as well as original factory manuals. Standing as a time capsule, 708 represents arguably the most original 3500 GT extant, with the best history to be offered today. 1960 Maserati 3500 GT The Cultivated Collector LLC If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1985-bmw-e24-635-csi
The BMW E24 6 Series? It delivers both — without apology. Launched in Munich in 1976, this grand tourer set the standard for the perfect balance between beauty and power. From the iconic sharknose and the classic kidney grille to the long, flowing roofline that had many humming “bad boys, bad boys” — the E24 is nothing short of rolling art. The first models appeared as the 630 CS and 633 CSi. But in 1983, the pinnacle arrived: the 635 CSi. Its beating heart? An engine directly derived from the legendary M1, bored out to 3.5 litres. The result: 33 extra Bavarian horses and the famed “i” — standing for Bosch injection, a textbook example of German precision and reliability. Rear-wheel drive. Straight-six. Manual gearbox. This isn't nostalgia — it's a masterclass in how a GT coupé should be built. While production continued into the late ’80s, true connoisseurs know: the pre-1986 models are the ones to own. Why? No catalytic converter to muffle the symphony of the six-cylinder. Full power. Full character. Raw and pure. And ours? Matching numbers. Technically excellent. BBS wheels. Largely original paint. Attractive mileage. Documented history. An honest, rare example — now looking for a new custodian.
