- Ferrari Enzo For Sale By DK Engineering
The Ferrari Enzo is not yet a classic and definitely not loved as the predecessor F40 (F50). But in 2002 it was the fastest road car Ferrari had ever made, actually the fourth in a line of ultra-high performance Ferrari’s, and the fastest car in production between 2002 and 2004. This example is currently for sales in UK by DK Engineering. - 1963 Jaguar E-type For Sale By BHAuction
A 1963 Jaguar E-type 3.8 Liter Competition Coupe in the characteristic body color, named “Flag Metallic Blue", used by the legendary privateer team, Ecully Ekosse, which conquered the 24 Hours of LeMans with a Jaguar D-type in 1956 and 1957. Winning 3 consecutive years at the Le Mans, Jaguar was committed to racing with the D-type, not so much with the E-type. Instead, they proactively supported privateer teams. Various measures were taken to compete against the Ferrari 250 GTO which debuted later on. Many race cars exist today which are based on these motifs. This one is for sale in Japan by bhauction. http://ow.ly/KMF750DH40I SpeedHolics has not been paid to write about this product or brand, nor will we profit from any purchases you may make through the links in this article. - 1993 Jaguar XJ220 For Sale by Canepa
This 1993 Jaguar XJ220 is one of only 281 models produced by Jaguar from 1992 to 1994. It fits a Tom Walkinshaw developed 3.5 litre V6 as used in the Group C XJR-10/11 racers, with twin Garrett T3 turbochargers, generating 542 horsepower and 476 lb·ft of torque. The engine was the first V6 in Jaguar's history, being a 6-cylinder derivation from the Cosworth DFV Formula 1 engine, originally designed by David Wood for the Austin Metro 6R4 rally car. It was also the first Jaguar engine to use forced induction. In spite of the smaller displacement, it produced more power than the V12, and offered improved handling by being set lower and more centrally in the car. Currently for sale by Canepa: http://ow.ly/lvCX50DWxY6 SpeedHolics has not been paid to write about this product or brand, nor will we profit from any purchases you may make through the links in this article. - Fascination Car Design
To me, cars have always been more than only a means to an end. They fascinate me in different ways, most of all in terms of their design. In car styling, there are many different parts that – in their totality – make up a harmonious car design. In my series, which I photographed in 2016 as my bachelor thesis at university, I tried to extract these details, take them out of their context and allowed them the room for their own perfect shape. Through reduced and at the same time distinctive light guidance, often combined with unfamiliar perspectives, I like to share the fascination of car design through my eyes. My pictures shouldn't be commercial shots, nor do they explain technical functions. The sheer concentration on the aesthetics is the focus of this work. Ideally I can change the observers view on how to perceive the automobile. It is an object to move you from A to B, but it can also be seen as a moving sculpture. So why BMW? To be honest, a lot of car manufactures have an interesting design history and I love to photograph these evolutions. As an original Münchner, I've always been a fan of the Bavarian brand – to be precise: mostly of their design. Always sporty, mostly modern and often a great mix of traditional quotes with new elements. In most cases, there are even borrowings from the automotive beginnings of the Munich-based manufacturer. This attention to detail has fascinated me and so I chose BMW for my bachelor thesis. I photographed over 50 cars, from the classic BMW Dixi up to the 2016 G11 7-series at the BMW Museum, at the BMW Group and at private individuals. www.oliversold.com Mail | Instagram | CÆTCH
