1979 BMW M1 owned by Mr Franz Reuther of Berlin, better known as ‘Frank Farian’, founding member and the voice behind the 1970s pop group and disco sensation ‘Boney M’.
One of the rarest BMW production cars ever built, the BMW M1 was built between 1979 and 1981 and a total of 399 road cars were constructed, with a further fifty-three competition prepared Group 4 ‘Procar’ variants built to compete in the famed Procar Championship, a support race for Formula One held for two seasons between 1979-80.
