As Michele Alboreto stepped away from Formula 1 at the end of the 1994 season, the Milanese driver ended a 14-year career in the topflight, which included five seasons racing for Ferrari. In 1985, Alboreto had pushed for Ferrari’s first Drivers’ title since 1979, yet eventually settled for 2nd place in his stand-out season for the Scuderia. In life after F1 he raced for Schübel Engineering in the DTM and International Touring Car Championship, further to entries in IndyCar and the World Sportscar Championship—some of which from behind the wheel of a Ferrari, upholding his connection with the Maranello marque. On 8 August 1995, Alboreto took delivery of the Ferrari F355 Berlinetta offered here, which was supplied by Parisian dealer Charles Pozzi SA while the driver was living in Monaco. The sleek coupé was built in Nero Carbonio over a Beige leather interior—the colour combination it still shows today—while the Ferrari also retains its matching-numbers Tipo F129 engine. Accompanied by its Ferrari books and manuals, showing main dealer servicing on selected years, the F355 was most recently serviced by Scuderia Baldini in August 2024, and one month later the workshop fitted four Bridgestone Potenza tyres. Having been awarded Ferrari Classiche certification in December 2024, the car is offered with its “Red Book”. Offered with the provenance of a famous Ferrari F1 driver as its first owner, Scuderia fans should not miss the opportunity to bid on this Classiche-certified F355 Berlinetta.
