This M1 Procar is one of the Osella built cars, finished by BMW on May 9th, 1979. This particular car was purchased by Vasek Polak to be campaigned the following year. They took the car to the Riverside raceway for some break-in laps then back to their shop. Shortly thereafter, the FIA rules changed, and the car was no longer eligible to race. The car was put in storage until the prior owner purchased it in 1989. The car has been continuously maintained and kept in pristine mechanical and cosmetic condition. It’s believed to be the only "new" M1 pro car in existence. In 2021 this car was acquired by the current owner. A recent service was completed by The Werkshop in March of 2022, with limited mileage added since then. The car has been used sparingly at private track days since its acquisition. This BMW M1 Procar offers a rare opportunity to own a piece of motorsport history. With its rich racing heritage and meticulous maintenance, this M1 Procar is ideally suited for both historic racing events and discerning collectors. Priced to reflect its provenance and condition, inspection is welcome by appointment.
