Colour Sierra Blue

Presented in stunning condition throughout, this exceptional DB5 has been the subject of extensive restoration work in recent years. Chassis number DB5/1786 was delivered in October 1964 as a right hand drive UK market car, finished in Sierra Blue and sold via the dealer HW Motors (K.N. Rudd) to its first owner, a Mr D.F. Albert of Hastings, East Sussex. Service records show that he was an enthusiastic owner covering some 25k miles by 1969, until selling to the second owner, another Hastings resident E.A. Parkinson in 1973. A garage owner, who had always wanted a DB5, ‘Ted’ Parkinson was its proud owner for the next 45 years! When the present owner bought the car it was apparent that it had been cherished and well maintained all its life, the decision was made to invest a great deal of money with marque specialists Aston Engineering enabling it to be enjoyed with trouble free motoring for many more decades. Not only cosmetic work that included a full repaint in the very attractive original colour, there was also extensive work carried out underneath and mechanically. The interior has a wonderful feeling of old world charm, beautifully supple old leather that new hides simply can’t match for character. Very well set up for touring, smooth effortless power delivered through the ZF gearbox and rolling on a desirable set of Borrani wire wheels, including the spare. This low mileage, highly original (still has the numbered keys) matching numbers DB5 with only 2 owners since 1973 in a stunning colour combination is a very desirable proposition.
