The Jaguar MKII was undoubtedly one of the most admired saloons of the 1960’s. With its airy interior trimmed with sumptuous leather along with polished wooden facia trims, extensive instruments and impressive row if toggle switches. Equipped with a range of six-cylinder engines including the range topping 3.8 litre engine which propelled the car form 0-60mph in just 8.5sconds and onto a 125mph top speed. It was little wonder the MKII became a firm favourite of both bank robbers and the Police in period. The Jaguar MKII 3.8 Manual overdrive offered here at Autostorico is genuine home market car which was supplied new to its first owner in December 1962 by Henleys London. Finished in its original colour of Opalescent Dark Green metallic with Suede Green leather interior trim this lovely example is showing an indicated 45,889 miles. The car has been the subject to a major restoration with works to the mechanicals and body regardless of cost. Purchased by its current owner in a Jaguar enthusiast in May 2015 the car has benefitted from a recent engine rebuild including fitting uprated camshafts, ported and polished cylinder head with large valve conversion. Offered for sale with a current V5 certificate. Accompanying the car is a comprehensive history file, which includes various invoices, heritage certificate and other related material.
