Desirable Super 90 Roadster with coachwork by Drauz 1 of Just 1529 Examples Produced Luxuriously Appointed and Presented Delivered via Hoffman Motors, New York Restored in the UK by Marque Specialists Retains Potent Original Matching-Numbers 'Super 90' Engine Verified by Porsche Kardex Correct Silver Metallic Paint with Elegant Brown Leather Upholstery, Complementing Wool Carpeting and Mohair Top Complete with Driver's Manual in Folio, Tool Kit, Spare Tire with Leather Strap, and Jack As buyers' taste changed, the 356 B T5 Roadster was the direct replacement of the Porsche 356 A Convertible D, which itself replaced the iconic Porsche 356 Speedster, and was the second convertible variant of the Porsche 356 B T5. Distinguished by clean rakish-looks, these Roadsters have a very sporting aesthetic feel to match - still in keeping with the Speedster ethos. The Roadster body shell features altered shapes to the cowl, rear quarters and beltline from that of the contemporary Cabriolet. A smaller windscreen, simplified dash, and lack of rear seats make for a much more driver focused experience. 88423 was completed at the Porsche factory in Super 90 tune and originally slotted for North American delivery. Eventually, the 356 was imported to the United Kingdom, where it would receive a complete 'nut-and-bolt' restoration by marque specialists, while it's said to retain the majority of its original body and original matching-numbers Super 90 engine. Now Stateside for the past few years, this charming 356B Super 90 Roadster presents and performs beautifully. The car has been immensely well received at Houston Coffee and Cars Porsche Day, as well as sprints around the area. An excellent opportunity to enjoy the 356 experience in its purest form.
