1 of 522 Produced During the Iconic Model's Final Year A Remarkably Preserved and Presented 356A Speedster Displayed in its Highly Sought-after Factory Original 5705B Fjord Green / Beige Livery Numbers-Matching per Porsche Kardex & Porsche Certificate of Authenticity Verified and Notably Documented by Reutter Karosserie Certificate of Delivery Recognized in the Porsche Register Includes: Driver's Manual in Folio, Jack, Tool Roll, 11/57 Dated Spare Tire Assembly, and 1957 Accessories Catalog and Reutter Karosserie Brochure. Delivered new to Hoffman Motors in New York, January 1, 1958 this Speedster quickly made its way to California where it remained with a long-term owner in very original condition. At some point in its life it received a re-paint to red over the original Fjord Green paint. In 2015, 84375 was discovered in static storage in a California with the front bumper removed. The overall condition was found to be very original throughout and a thorough mechanic service was performed to bring it back to roadworthiness. It was then sold to its next caretaker who performed a quality re-paint in its original 5705B Fjord Green color. In 2022 noted California Porsche service shop Markham Motor Works performed a major service in preparation for a CA Highway 1 adventure. Records from 2021-2022 total approximately $15,000.00. Previous Long-term Ownership Pulled from Long-Term Storage in 2015, Then Received a Thorough Mechanical Servicing Followed by a documented 2022 Mechanical Restoration Performed by Markham Motor Works - Addressed all Mechanical Systems, Auxileries, and Powertrain Exceptional Preservation Class Candidate and Ideal for Vintage Rallies and Tours Solid Original Body and Chassis Body Number Stampings “375” which matches the last three digits of the VIN number are found stamped on the rear deck lid and doors. Original Numbered Matching Keys Power is provided by a solid, Zenith carbureted numbers-matching engine and transmission Correct drum brakes covered by 4½ x15” date coded wheels and moon caps. Restored Original 12/57 Dated Fuel Tank Mellowed Weather Equipment Includes Black Cloth Top with Side Curtains. Conceived to meet a specific price point, it was a Spartan purpose-built sporting machine with minimal equipment and no needless accoutrements. Speedsters included a revised windshield that significantly lowered the look of the car. A chrome strip down the side of the car was also added and gone were unnecessary items. With the reduced weight from the elimination of many trim items, these rakishly designed models are even more exciting and fun to drive.
