A truly stunning example of the 1950s Italian classic; one of just 599 made

Coined by Alfa Romeo as “the family car that wins races”

Delivered new to Milan, Italy with later ownership in Germany and the United Kingdom

Meticulously restored with accompanying invoices totalling in excess of £160,000

Documented with a Certificato di Origine issued by Alfa Romeo’s Centro Documentazione in December 2017

In 1954 Alfa Romeo gave its popular 1900 platform a sporty twist, creating the Super Sprint Coupé. Carrozzeria Touring was chosen to build the bodywork, with aluminium panels laid over a steel structural chassis, while the model boasted a robust and dependable engine with 1,975-cc displacement. By the time production ceased in 1958, some 599 units of the perennially handsome 1900 Super Sprint Coupé had been made, making these sports cars a rare and enticing proposition for collectors. This stunning 1900 Super Sprint Coupé was first delivered in Milan, Italy in Beige Aurora before being exported to Germany shortly after its initial sale. Spending most of its life in Germany, it was then sold back to its home country of Italy in 2010. Later that year, the Alfa Romeo caught the attention of the consigning owner, who swiftly acquired the car and began a “blank cheque” restoration process to bring the car to its original glory. Meticulously carried out and extensively documented with invoices available to view on file, the body-off restoration was entrusted to the esteemed Prestige Cars workshop. The mechanical overhaul was completed by DTR Sports Cars, who set to work on the rebuild of the engine, gearbox, suspension, and rear axle. An interior refresh was conducted by Mototrim, who beautifully reupholstered the interior in Lords Red Vaumol leather with a white accent. The combined amount of work exceeded £160,000. The car is further offered for sale with a Certificato di Origine issued by Alfa Romeo’s Centro Documentazione in December 2017. Now presented in wonderful Bianco Gardenia, and with limited use since its restoration, this 1900 C Super Sprint Coupé represents an opportunity to acquire one of the finest examples to come to market in recent years. The Alfa Romeo awaits its next owner to be shown and enjoyed as a quintessential example of an elegant, useable, and immaculate Italian sports car.
