- 1986-ford-rs200-c200jjn
Registration: C200JJN – Chassis No.61 Ex-works car loaned to Mike Taylor Developments Ltd by Ford Motorsport Boreham for the 1986 rally season; MTD ran #061 on behalf of Ford Holland Winner 1986 Dutch Rally Championship with Stig Andervang Winner 1986 West Euro Rally Championship with Stig Andervang 11 entries with 5 wins in the 1986 season Current engine installed is genuine EVO 2.1 with 760bhp on low boost Original chassis plate and stamped number Born in the crucible of Group B, the Ford RS200 remains one of motorsport’s most audacious creations, a purpose-built, four-wheel-drive weapon engineered from the ground up to challenge the giants of rallying’s most ferocious era. Among the 200 examples built, chassis 061 stands apart as one of the most decorated and hard-fought cars to emerge from Boreham’s hallowed workshops. Originally registered C200 JJN and completed in January 1986, #061 is a true ex-Works car, constructed as a left-hand-drive rally chassis by Ford Motorsport Boreham. For the 1986 season, Mike Taylor Developments Ltd. ran the car on behalf of Ford Holland and #061 competed wearing the traditional Ford blue-and-white works livery and a one-off scarlet-and-white Team Belga livery, reflecting its versatility and identity as a championship-winning machine. In the hands of Stig Andervang, #061 became instantly recognizable and synonymous with speed and precision. That season proved extraordinary. Competing across Europe in both the Dutch Open Rally Championship and the West Euro Cup, #061 delivered outright championship victories in both series with five 1st Place Overall finishes and two 2nd Place finishes during the course of the 1986 rally season - no RS200 covered more ground or achieved more results than #061. Beyond its remarkable competition record, the car’s mechanical heart remains formidable. Today, #061 is powered by a genuine Ford Motorsport EVO 2.1-liter BDT, an evolution engine delivering 760 bhp on low boost, paired with its original chassis plate and stamped number. It stands as one of the very few RS200s retaining direct works lineage, original identity, and period-correct specification, a combination that defines true provenance in rally history. From its incredible 1986 season providing two championship-winning campaigns, #061 is not merely a survivor of rallying’s most dangerous decade; it is one of its victors. It embodies the audacity of Ford’s Group B ambition and the enduring spirit of those who dared to tame it. 1986 Ford RS200 "C200JJN" The Cultivated Collector LLC If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1989-ferrari-f40-5
Ferrari's 201 mph F40 is the definitive supercar and has a formidable reputation alongside the 250 GTO as possibly the best road Ferrari built to date. With the F40, Pininfarina produced an era-defining creation, one that even today is instantly recognisable by old and young enthusiasts alike. F40's were closely derived from the experimental GTO Evoluzione and the road-going 288 GTO (that the F40 replaced). The design features a tubular steel chassis with bonded composite inserts, most notably around the sills and floor pan, The 2,936 cc motor produces approximately 500 bhp at 7,000 rpm with the help of two water-cooled IHI turbochargers running 1.1 bar of boost. At 1,202 kg, the F40 had, and still has, a phenomenal power-to-weight ratio. Shatteringly fast by any comparison (especially for 1988), the F40 can sprint from 0-60 mph in just 4.4 seconds and hit 201 mph flat out making it the first production car to surpass this mystical boundary. Completed at the factory in January 1989, this example is one of the 7-series chassis cars completed that benefit from a number of key differences removed over the span of production. Naturally as a 7-series production example, this early F40 is both non-cat and non-adjust, which are considered to be the more pure, more raw variant of the esteemed model. Corroborating with the very early build date are several characteristics which are indicative of an early ‘non-cat, non-adjust’ car. These include the bare aluminium intercoolers, and the different construction and finishing of carbon Kevlar components such as the more rudimentary surface undeath the front clam, which draws the eyes to the unique way in which the NACA ducts are affixed to its underside; a true reflection of how these early cars were built to be as minimal, basic and as lightweight as possible. Under the front clam, the front brake cooling ducts and their flanges are also visible, and the manner they join to the clam is again different to later cars. The front wheel well is of the split, two-piece design, seen only on a handful of the earliest examples. Similarly, this example features non-adjustable suspension, introduced as an option on the later produced cars. The interior also sees alternative soft fabric seats witnessed previously on other early examples by DK. The 74th example completed, this example was completed at the factory on 27th January 1989, already having been earmarked by Ferrari themselves for the upcoming Geneva International Motorshow. The F40 was delivered ahead of this to official importer IFS Ferrari Suisse SA in February. As corroborated by noted Ferrari historian Marcel Massini, this example then sat alongside Ferrari’s latest and greatest offering, the brand new Mondial T at the 59th Geneva Motorshow in March 1989. 9th December 1988 Factory build start date 27th January 1989 Factory completion date February 1989 Delivered new to official importer IFS Ferrari Suisse SA 9th March 1989 Displayed on the Ferrari stand during the 59th Geneva International Motor Show, upgraded to sliding windows for the show 9th May 1990 Road registered in the name of Graber Automobile of Wichtrach With the Pirelli P-Zero having been developed as the first road-going bespoke compound tyre for the F40, it was this option-tyre that was selected for its presence at Geneva. The P-Zero name had been introduced five years earlier with the Delta S4, but as a semi-slick on a homologation production run. P-Zeros at the time had a slightly different sidewall to those available today. It is worth noting that the car recieved sliding windows for the show, to be returned to specification as per the original build sheets after the show. It would not receive road registration until the 9th of May 1990 with its warranty booklet issued in the name of Graber Automobile of Wichtrach. The car was sold the following year to close friend of Graber Automobile, Fridolin Broder of Liechtenstein who was for a short period, the official importer into the country. Its next owner, Mr Höflinghoff-Hess of Germany retained the car for a number of years, eventually advertising the car in German-magazine Auto, Motor & Sport in July of 1998 with just 875 kms. The F40 was snapped up by Bernhard Dransmann of Osnabrück later the same month and he would retain the car for just over two years. Dransmann would sell the car to its most recent custodian in September of 2000. Over the past 25 years, this F40 has been cared for by just one custodian. Today this example has covered just 12,500 kilometres. All of the early details which set this car apart remain true today, including the original soft-fabric seats (although an additional retrimmed set will be supplied), bare aluminium intercoolers, split wheel well, unpainted lower sills and largely exposed engine bay weave. This remarkable F40 today presents superbly at our showrooms outside London. With yellow in-filled tyres as a modern nod to how it was presented at the Geneva Motor Show just shy of 36 years ago, this F40 would be a standout addition to any collection. Today this F40 is accompanied by its original book pack and wallet, spare key and tools and whilst serviced prior to arrival, this example will pass through our workshops once more ahead of sale. 1989 Ferrari F40 D.K. This superb Ferrari 250 GT Pininfarina Coupe Series II is a very special and original car. It is the latest type of 508F chassis’ and the latest engine development of the Tipo 128F V12 engine. All numbers have been confirmed by Ferrari to be original and matching. The car is registered in Holland and has a most distinguished two-tone colour combination of ‘Grigio Platino’ (original colour) with an anthracite grey roof and a dark red leather interior. The car was ordered new by United States Air Force Captain John C. Malone in Februari 1960. Mr. J.C. Malone was stationed in Tokyo at the time. In March 1960, the car was shipped directly from Italy to Yokohama, making it the very first Ferrari imported into Japan! This arrival created quite a stir; Prancing Horse wrote that stories about the car were published in the Yokohama and Tokyo newspapers. When Mr. J.C. Malone moved back to the USA, the car was shipped to the USA. The Air Force Captain enjoyed driving it around Denver, Colorado. Around this time, the car was painted white and the original leather interior was changed to black. Mr. J.C. Malone would finally keep the car an impressive 40 years until he sold the car in 2000 at the age of 80. The car had only 43.000 miles and was described as a ‘time-capsule-car’. The car was then owned by Mr. J. Heumann from San Francisco, California and later he sold to car to Mr. M. Vittoz from Lyon, France. Highlights for this car Long term Northern California “black plate” ownership with known history Original leather covered owner’s manual and warranty card Original tools, tool roll, and records dating back to 1974 Copious service records supporting original recorded mileage Comprehensive restoration in beautiful colors General Overview For decades, astute collectors have sought Ferraris that can be driven enjoyably with friends and family members either for personal outings or as part of touring events hosted all over the world. During the 1960s, this same sentiment had allowed Ferrari to capture a larger market share with the addition of rear seating capacity accompanied by more luxurious driving amenities. Beginning with the successful 250 GTE, the 330 GT 2+2 followed in 1964, eventually succeeded by the 365 GT 2+2, Ferrari set a tradition of excellent four passenger touring cars. Debuting at the 1967 Paris Auto Show, the beautifully elongated Pininfarina body, influenced by the limited production 500 Superfast and Super Americas, featured dramatic front and rear overhangs, beautiful side glass, and handsome if not stately proportions. The 365 GT 2+2 not only offered impressive performance, it was a truly superlative grand touring car, capturing the hearts of sports car enthusiasts and the motoring press. With its 320 bhp 4.4 Liter V12 engine and five-speed gearbox, 0-60 times were achieved in a remarkable 7.0 seconds with a top speed of 150 mph. Girling four-wheel ventilated disc brakes, independent suspension all round, and Koni's hydro-pneumatic self-leveling suspension system (to aid in weight balancing for rear passengers), delivered engaging performance with refined driving manners. Interior noise and vibration were vastly improved using isolating rubber drive-line mounts and, with comfort amenities such as ZF variable ratio power-assisted steering, power windows, power wing windows, and air conditioning as standard equipment, blending comfort with performance became thoughtfully united in a Ferrari fit for royalty. Which is partly the impetus for the nickname these cars earned when first reviewed by Road & Track as the “Queen Mother of Ferraris”. With a wide track and increased trunk capacity, the 365 GT was larger than previous Ferraris, but its size did not diminish the performance capacity or nimble road characteristics so highly desired by Ferrari owners. History of this Ferrari According to the original Ferrari owner’s Tessera di Garanzia (warranty booklet) this Ferrari was delivered July 17, 1969, to Bill Harrah’s Modern Classic Motors, Reno, NV, and sold to the first owner who performed the required A,B, and C services on September 20, 1969, and December 28, 1969, at Premier Imports Inc., San Carlos, CA, retaining the black and yellow California license plates which remain on the car today. The second owner of record purchased this Ferrari on October 26, 1974, with 26,493 miles recorded from Europa Car, Atherton, CA. The third owner of record purchased the car December 11, 1979, with 45,000 miles. On March 27, 1984, the fourth owner of record purchased the car with 62,351 miles. The notice and take down procedure is described here: https://www.speedholics.com/copyright Highlights for this car Long term Northern California “black plate” ownership with known history Original leather covered owner’s manual and warranty card Original tools, tool roll, and records dating back to 1974 Copious service records supporting original recorded mileage Comprehensive restoration in beautiful colors General Overview For decades, astute collectors have sought Ferraris that can be driven enjoyably with friends and family members either for personal outings or as part of touring events hosted all over the world. Built to RHD specifications for use by the consigning owner in Hong Kong, HK2, the second Classic Study to be delivered to Hong Kong, was completed by Singer Vehicle Design in the summer of 2015. This would be just the fourteenth Classic Study to be completed by Singer Vehicle Design and as such, Singer’s founder Rob Dickinson was personally involved in every step of the car’s build process, from initial specification discussions to completion and delivery to Hong Kong. HK2 is finished in Dolphin Grey, a colour made famous by Porsche on the 356, alongside ghosted stripes with blue lettering, and blue-painted Fuchs-style wheels to match. Mechanically, it is optioned with the Ohlins adjustable suspension, a leather-wrapped roll cage, and the five-speed manual gearbox. Further options include the exposed fuel and oil filler caps, grey ceramic coated exhaust, and nickel-plated bumperettes. The blue detailing on the exterior carries through to the car’s interior, with the interior trimmed in matching blue leather and carpets. Options include the Recaro sport seats with black-painted seatbacks, and the Becker radio. Upon the consignor’s move home from Hong Kong to his native England, HK2 would also find its way to the U.K. but not before being sent to Singer Vehicle Design’s headquarters in Los Angeles. There, its engine was upgraded to 4.0-litre specifications, having been initially fitted with the 3.8-litre engine option as that was the largest available at the time of its build. The car was also fitted with upgraded exhaust system to reduce in-cabin noise and drone. Further work was done by Tuthill to tune the suspension specifically for use on U.K. roads. Since returning to the U.K., the car has been maintained by singer’s approved aftersales partners and more recently at Singer’s own facilities in the U.K. Offered in partnership between RM Sotheby’s and Singer Vehicle design, the car is offered with a full Singer Vehicle Design warranty, having been prepared to meet Singer’s pre-owned ‘Encore’ standards. With the order books for the Classic Study having been closed two year ago and production now coming to an end, these cars still remain highly sought after for their sensational driving dynamics and attention to detail. Beautifully specified by the commissioning owner whom the car is offered on behalf of today, HK2 would be a fantastic addition to any collection and would revel in being used and enjoyed as its creators intended. 1991 Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer RM Sotheby's If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1986-porsche-930-turbo-33
This 930 Turbo 3.3 was registered new to its first owner, a resident of Nottinghamshire in April 1986 via John Lamb Porsche Centre, Chesterfield. The original specification was black over champagne leather interior and champagne carpets, the same colour combination it's presented in today as per the Certificate of Authenticity. It was ordered new with the following factory options; recoil bumpers, heated and adjustable passenger door mirror, heated front seats, electric sunroof, limited slip differential (40% slip factor), Blaupunkt Toronto stereo, sport seats with electric height adjustment, sekuriflex laminated windscreen, graduated top tinted windscreen and full champagne leather interior. The car was purchased by its previous owner in 1997 and has a very comprehensive maintenance history with invoices spanning 1991-2025. The original speedo which is still with the car died and was replaced by JAZ Porsche in 1993 at 48,814 miles. In 2016 the engine was rebuilt by marque experts JZM Porsche. In 2023 the suspension and steering were refurbished, and the latest service was at 72,986 miles by Canford Classics which included a brake fluid change. Upon our acquisition we entrusted it to marque experts Canford Classics for a full exterior and interior recondition. The car was stripped and taken back to bare-metal and was refinished in its original colour L700 black. The interior was stripped with the leather components being re-connolised, the unoriginal speakers in the door cards and rear parcel shelf were replaced with a period correct set, new carpet from Germany was fitted and new rubbers including the front smile, rear spoiler, front lower valance and front bumper protective strip were fitted. Electrics were painstakingly sorted with everything now working. Mechanically Canford Classics checked over the entire car and in March an annual service was completed plus new tyres, new condenser, front and rear discs and pads. It passed its MOT first-time with no advisories. Complete with its original leather pouch, driver's manual, service book, original speedo, colours and interior option brochure, Porsche Great Britain model range brochure, radio booklet and history file which contains photographs of the engine rebuild and recondition. - 1978-bmw-30l-csi-gr2
Founded in 1916 in Munich, BMW (Bayerische Motoren Werke) initially manufactured aircraft engines before expanding into motorcycle and later automobile production starting in the 1920s. Competition has been integral to BMW’s heritage since its inception, notably through iconic models such as the BMW 328, which triumphed at the Mille Miglia in 1940, establishing its sporting reputation early on. The Birth of a Legend: BMW 3.0 CSL Gr.2 Introduced in May 1972, the BMW 3.0 CSL ("Coupé Sport Leicht") was immediately recognised as an exceptional car. A lightweight variant of the BMW E9 3.0 CS, it shed nearly 200 kg through extensive use of aluminium for doors, bonnet, and boot, alongside thinner gauge steel for the bodywork. Initially created to homologate the car for racing, it swiftly became a benchmark among sports coupés, perfectly embodying BMW’s sporting spirit and technical prowess. The Group 2 version of the CSL underwent several evolutions: 1972: M30 engine, 3,003 cc, approximately 340 hp, Kugelfischer mechanical injection. 1973: Engine displacement increased to 3,153 cc, power increased to 360 hp. 1974: Introduction of the 3,498 cc (3.5 litres) engine, reaching nearly 375 hp. The gearbox and drivetrain assembly also evolved, featuring a close-ratio five-speed manual Getrag gearbox and a ZF limited-slip differential, ensuring both performance and reliability. The striking "Batmobile" aerodynamic kit, comprising widened arches, front spoiler, and prominent rear wing, quickly became its visual signature. CSL Across the Board: Group 2 Dominance The BMW 3.0 CSL dominated the European Touring Car Championship (ETCC) extensively from 1973 to 1979, notably against fierce competition such as the Ford Capri RS 2600 and RS 3100 in unforgettable battles. Prominent drivers included Hans-Joachim Stuck, Dieter Quester, Toine Hezemans, Niki Lauda, Ronnie Peterson, Brian Redman, and Chris Amon. “Driving the CSL was sheer pleasure; a perfectly balanced car responding instantly to the driver's slightest inputs.” – Hans-Joachim Stuck Among memorable races, the 1973 victory at the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps stands out: after intense competition with the Ford Capris, Dieter Quester crossed the finish line in torrential rain with a minimal lead, symbolising the CSL’s remarkable endurance and reliability. Its impressive record includes six consecutive European manufacturer titles from 1973 to 1979, along with notable victories at the Nürburgring 24 Hours in 1973 and 1974. The CSL also excelled in the IMSA series in the United States, particularly at Daytona and Sebring, confirming its versatility and global competitiveness. In Germany, the BMW 3.0 CSL actively competed in the Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft (DRM), significantly enhancing the championship's prestige against rivals like the Porsche 911 Carrera RSR. The BMW 3.0 CSL/CSi of Vittorio Pugliese and Later Marco and Maurizio Micangeli Initially entered by Vittorio Pugliese during the 1978 and 1979 seasons of the European Touring Car Championship, this BMW 3.0 CSL competed in several major events, notably at Italian circuits Monza, Vallelunga, Magione, and Mugello, and also at Zandvoort in the Netherlands. At its first outing at Mugello in April 1978, driven by Pugliese and the driver known as "Tarta", it secured a respectable 10th place overall after qualifying eighth. Although detailed results from subsequent 1979 races with Pugliese and teammate Biggi are limited, the car’s regular appearances underscore its sustained competitive involvement. In 1980, ownership transferred to brothers Marco and Maurizio Micangeli, competing as a BMW 3.0 CSi in striking new yellow and brown colours. The team actively participated in multiple European rounds, notably at prestigious tracks like Monza, Vallelunga, and Brno. At Silverstone’s Tourist Trophy in September, Marco and Maurizio Micangeli achieved their best result, an impressive sixth-place finish, just four laps behind the winner after starting 14th. This strong performance validated the meticulous engine preparation and specific chassis adjustments carried out by their technical team. Configured thus, this privately run BMW 3.0 CSi repeatedly demonstrated its capacity to effectively challenge the formidable factory-run BMW 3.0 CSLs in Group 2. After some years of inactivity, this BMW 3L CSL returned to historic racing, including several appearances at the Le Mans Classic. Requiring a general overhaul and updating of its safety features before returning to the track, it is now awaiting its new driver to take on new challenges, whether in rallying for the Tour Auto or endurance racing on the circuit. 1978 BMW 3.0L CSI Gr.2 Historic Cars If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer. - 1968 Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV
Penned by Giorgetto Giugiaro at Bertone, the 105’s clean and distinctive design is one of the most attractive small coupes of the 1960s and 70s. The 1750 GTV was the first evolution of the original design and benefited from Alfa Romeo’s larger 1779cc engine in addition to many other updates and modifications including to the chassis, suspension and brakes. It made for a much better driving car particularly at higher touring speeds and ensured the cars performance was better than many sports cars of the era. Arguably the ‘1750’ motor is regarded by enthusiasts as the one to have given its combination of power, torque and free revving nature. Externally the 1750 GTV also departed from the earlier cars with a new nose styling incorporating a revised grill with four headlamps. Our example is an early Series 1 model delivered in April 1968 to Pymble NSW, as confirmed by the Certificate of Origin which accompanies the car. It has been in the ownership of known ‘Alfisti’ who have kept it in wonderful order. The current owner acquired the car in 2006 and commenced a restoration in 2009. The car was then completed and registered in 2018 and has covered under 2,000 miles since that time. During the restoration the car underwent a back to metal repaint, extensive mechanical and electrical work. It still presents extremely well to this day. The body is in very good all-round condition with minimal panel work being required once the paint was removed. There are some stone chips and marks on the body due to age, but none are significant. The car had a colour change by its previous owner to red from its original Biancospino but it suits the car well. The interior is in the original Nero. All the stainless steel brightwork is in wonderful order and sets the car off beautifully. The wheels although from a later model 2000 GTV are refurbished and are in perfect condition. The interior is just lovely with everything as it should be. An unmarked steering wheel greets you and the dash and dials are something that just looks perfect to the eye. The dash has been restored at some point and the current dash pad is well made and is a practical addition. The desirable ‘flying buttress’ seats have been reupholstered and are just a lovely feature. The instrument binnacle looks spot on with only a little frosting to the rev counter cover, but this is being picky. The headlining is fresh and perfect to the eye. The timber veneer to the centre console is not original but a good match and is well fitted. The carpets are new and unmarked. Turn the key and the engine fires up to a familiar Alfa growl. Out on the open road this car is just superb. The gearbox is excellent with no issues with the synchro’s. It is accurate, smooth, and quick to work through the gears and using it is quite addictive. The engine is responsive and pulls extremely well benefiting from the carbs being rebuilt and tuned. The engine bay is clean and largely original. The boot is excellent and lined with carpet. These 105’s are great driver’s cars, and we can see why they are so sought after. Freshly restored cars are still fetching well north of $100,000 and this car represents good buying. The car will be serviced and ready to be enjoyed by its new owner. 1968 Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV Сlassic Сar Market If you are interested in the content of this listing, please contact the Dealer.
