This 1973 BMW 3.0CS is finished in blue over tan leather upholstery and is powered by a 3.0-liter M30 inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 14? alloy wheels, a sunroof, four-wheel disc brakes, dual carburetors, a Nardi steering wheel, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM stereo. The car was previously sold on BaT in November 2017 and was acquired by the current owner in 2022. Service in March 2022 consisted of replacing the transmission seals, oil pan gasket, and front crankshaft seal along with servicing the front wheel bearings. This 3.0CS is now offered on dealer consignment as part of the Mohr Imports Monterey Collection Sale with a tool kit, recent service records, and a clean Arizona title.
The car was delivered new in Baikal Blue (042) and was refinished under previous ownership following removal of the US-market front side markers. Equipment includes a sunroof, quad headlights, chrome-finished bumpers, fender vents, a powered antenna, a driver-side mirror, and a single exhaust outlet with a polished finisher. A scratch is present on the lower portion of the driver’s door, and a section of paint is missing on the left-rear wheel arch. Paint bubbles are noted near the sunroof and on the passenger-side door. A collection of paint meter readings are viewable in the gallery below.
Silver 14? alloy wheels wear bright hubcaps and Firestone All-Season tires that measure 185/70. Bilstein rear shocks have been installed, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. The front wheel bearings were serviced in March 2022.
The front bucket seats and contoured rear bench were reupholstered in tan leather under previous ownership, while woodgrain trim accents the black dashboard and door panels. Additional equipment includes power windows, a heater, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM stereo. The sunroof motors and headliner were replaced under previous ownership. The air conditioning system is inoperable, and a crack is noted on the dash.
A wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 18k miles, approximately 1,500 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 3.0-liter M30 inline-six is equipped with dual carburetors and sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Service in March 2022 consisted of replacing the transmission seals, oil pan gasket, and front crankshaft seal. An inspection during the March 2022 service noted the power steering pump is in need of replacement.
Corrosion is noted on underside panels and in the spare tire well. Additional underbody photos are provided in the image gallery.
A tool kit is included in the sale along with a pair of blue California personalized license plates, front floor mats, and accessories.
